Welcome to Leg 6! Last time, on I Think the French Guy Liked Me,
teams raced from Denmark to Morocco and spent a lot of time hanging out in
Jemma El-Fnaa in Marrakesh. Food
Carts! Hanging carpets! One armed Roadblocks (and Detours)! Shelley gets into it with Keith and creates a
rivalry which is snuffed when the Flight Attendants use their U-Turn and Keith
and Whitney are eliminated. Who will be
eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

8:15 AM Kym/Alli
(1st)
Clue: Make your way to the marked feed station and take two marked
bags of hay to the stable at El Massi.
Once there, take a horse drawn carriage back to town and feed apples to
your horses to get your next clue.
(Toyouke: “So I just saw some money and it
reminds me that I don't think they've said how much money they're getting for
each leg. I'm pretty sure no episode before this has stated the amount.”)
8:16 AM Adam/Bethany
(2nd)
8: 30 AM
Tim/Te Jay (3rd)
8:34 AM Shelley/Nici
(4th)
8:39 AM Brooke/Robbie
(5th)
8:41 AM Misti/Jim
(6th)
8:42 AM Amy/Maya
(7th)
Teams make their way to the feed station and then the stable and
arrive in the following order:
1- Adam/Bethany
– who find a cab driver right away who knows where he is going.
2- Kym/Alli – who
struggle with finding a good cab driver, but get on their way quickly.
3- Misti/Jim – who
run into. . .
4- Brooke/Robbie
– and together they find out how far away the stable is.
5- Tim/Te
Jay – who start the 10 kilometer journey on foot, as do. . .
6- Amy/Maya
– who actually run into. . .
7- Shelley/Nici
– and together they finally discover they can’t walk.
Teams finally find the feed station (not the most well marked
place in all of TARdom) (Toyouke: “That is not up to the usual standard of "marked
structure."), get their carriages, and return to Marrakesh to get their clues
in the following order:
1- Adam/Bethany
2- Kym/Alli
3- Misti/Jim
4- Brooke/Robbie
5- Tim/Te
Jay
6- Shelley/Nici
7- Amy/Maya – who
actually grab random bags of hay first.
Teams are now instructed to go to the marked parking lot behind
Koutoubia Mosque and find the marked Ford Fiestas. Using the cars, teams drive themselves to the
Pottery Stand in Amizmiz in the Atlas Desert.
Teams arrive and get their clues in the following order:
1- Kym/Alli
2- Misti/Jim
3- Adam/Bethany
4- Brooke/Robbie
5- Tim/Te
Jay
6- Amy/Maya
7- Shelley/Nici
– who go three hours out of their way. Ouch.
And we get the Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Camp OR
Cream
For both
Detours, teams make their way to Oumnasse Casbah back in Marrakesh.
*Camp:
Teams must set up a Berber tent to exact specifications in order to get their
clue from the judge.
*Cream:
Teams must milk a goat and fill a bowl to a line, then use a tradition method
to churn butter. Once 3 ounces of butter
is made, teams get their next clue.
(Toyouke: “Ugh, deal with goats or exactly
copy a camp. I don't know that I like either of these.”)
1- Kym/Alli
choose Cream – and discover that making butter will take 45 minutes. (Toyouke: “FORTY-FIVE MINUTES?!?! Is that Detour really that easy compared to
the tent? That you have them churn for almost an hour?”) So they Bald Snark to Camp. Once they get going, they realize that they
are a bit short to do the task, and Alli starts doubting her decision. So they Double Bald Snark back to Cream and
finish making butter. And Kym serenades
us.
2- Misti/Jim
choose Camp
3- Adam/Bethany
choose Cream
4- Brooke/Robbie
choose Cream –Robbie: “You get the goat, I’ll hold the bowl.” (Toyouke: “Robbie is like a small child.”)
5- Tim/Te
Jay choose Camp – and then go into the tent together to try and set it up.
6- Amy/Maya
choose Cream
7- Shelley/Nici
choose Cream – but arrive just as all the other teams are leaving.
After much goat milking, butter churning and tent building
(Toyouke: “I love that they appear to be
weighing the goat butter with bullets.”), teams complete the detour in
the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Adam/Bethany
3- Tim/Te
Jay
4- Kym/Alli
5- Amy/Maya
6- Brooke/Robbie
7- Shelley/Nici
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Terres d’Amanar in
Tahannaout to get their next clue. They
arrive in the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Adam/Bethany
3- Tim/Te
Jay
4- Kym/Alli
5- Brooke/Robbie
6- Amy/Maya
– who drive right past the place as they are talking about paying
attention. Oh Amazing Editors, how I
love thee.
7- Shelley/Nici
And teams get the fourth
roadblock clue.
ROADBLOCK:
Who has the knack for sliding
things into place?
In this roadblock, roadblockers
must complete a ropes and zip line course in the Atlas Mountains. Along the way, they must solve a puzzle and
then return to the start to get their next clue.
(Toyouke: “This puzzle serves no purpose. Remember when it was
enough to overcome your fear of heights?”)
The following teammates take
the Roadblock:
1- Misti
2- Bethany
3- Te Jay
4- Alli
5- Brooke – who whines the WHOLE WAY.
6- Maya
7- Shelley
After much ropes coursing and
zip lining, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Adam/Bethany
3- Kym/Alli
4- Tim/Te
Jay
5- Brooke/Robbie
6- Amy/Maya
7- Shelley/Nici
Teams are handed the picture of their next destination, the Casbah
d’If, the PIT STOP of the sixth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
(Toyouke: “Is this a thing that I'm not aware
of? Banjo, chicken, dove? What?”)
1- Misti/Jim
– who win a trip for 2 to Brazil.
2- Adam/Bethany
3- Kym/Alli
4- Tim/Te
Jay
5- Brooke/Robbie
6- Amy/Maya
7- Shelley/Nici
And Shelley and Nici are eliminated. They are annoyed to be gone so soon, but Phil
reminds them how far they came in two legs.
ORDER

2nd – Adam/Bethany
3rd – Kym/Alli
4th – Tim/Te
