Project Runway 1/27/22--"The Sky Is the Limit" summary

Previously on “Project Runway”: the designers had to make a look for a supermodel and an editorial photoshoot. We got a side story of “everybody hates Shantall”, but she didn't seem to care very much and also on Twitter it was apparently caused by Shantall yelling at Coral for some reason. Which we didn't see any of. I'm not defending her but I would like to know why that was cut but the shunning was not. So Shantall of course won, and then Bones finally went home. He didn't seem to think that he was going to make the finale. (click for more)

TAR 33, Recap Leg 5, 1/26/22

Welcome to Leg 5! Last time, on Welcome to The Amazing Race. . . Again!, 5 teams returned to continue their race around the world in Switzerland, with two eliminated teams, bringing the number of teams back to 7. Sheri struggled at the Roadblock due to her fear of heights, but Cop Rock really screwed up at the Detour. AGAIN. And were eliminated. AGAIN. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Project Runway 1/20/22--"The Model as Muse" summary

Previously on “Project Runway”: everybody had to collaborate with hairstylists to make an outfit and a hairstyle that went together. Chasity won, and I saw a lot of complaining online because people didn't like her dress, but I thought it was fine. I mean people whined that it was tiger stripes and tigers aren't African. Because we have spent enough time forcing Aaron to be robbed of the win, he was eliminated. To be fair his outfit wasn't very good. But let's not pretend sending a naked model in a clear vinyl raincoat would have been OK. (click for more)

TAR 33, Recap Leg 4, 1/19/22

Welcome to Leg 4! Last time, on Donald Where’s Your Troosers?, 10 teams raced from London to Glasgow, Scotalnd. Akbar and Sheri had issues driving stick, but Kim and Penn danced their way to a first place finish. Arun and Natalia helped some teams, and a number of other mistakes cost them the race and were eliminated. And then COVID put a long pause on the race. Who will be eliminated. . . next? Project Runway 1/13/22--"Haute Hair" summary

Previously on “Project Runway”: designers were asked to create reunion looks for various Real Housewives. I feel bad because not everyone is American and they don't all know what this franchise is and what a reunion show is. Once again the judges put Aaron in the top but gave the win to someone else, this time Shantall. Kristina got the difficult client, who basically wanted to show off her new boob job and ass job, but her outfit was deemed better than Anna, who was sent home. Anna really hadn't been the same since the car accident and Octavio leaving. (click for more)

TAR 33, Recap Leg 3, 1/12/22

Welcome to Leg 3! Last time, on Get Your Clue from the Master Baker, 10 teams continued to travel through London, this time during the day. Caro and Ray had a meltdown, but Ryan and Dusty managed to hit bullseyes quickly and finish first. The Twinnies finish last (good) but are not eliminated (BOO!). But teams are also told to keep racing! Who will be eliminated. . . next?

Project Runway 1/6/22--"The Housewives" summary

Previously on “Project Runway”: the unconventional materials challenge! This time it was things in a bar. Shantall made a dress out of straws, sewn together to look like armor. It really was a cool look. Prajje was eliminated because his look didn't fit, but really he had one of the plus-sized models and they specifically said she didn't show enough skin. Yes his skirt was a weird length, but because it wasn't super fitted, they decided it needed to be very exposed on top and I'm tired of the judges constantly harping on how beautiful the plus-sized models are (as if the other models are not) and insisting the plus-sized models have to wear tight clothing that exposes a lot of skin. TAR 33, Recap Leg 2, 1/5/22

Welcome to Leg 2! Last time, on Why Did We Insist On Doing a Cell Phone Staggered Start Again?, 11 teams started Amazing Race 33 in various cities across the USA and ended up in London! Teams had to either run around London at night, or paste a puzzle on a wall. But in the end, it was Team Cop Rock who couldn’t catch a break, and were the first team eliminated, because somehow the Twins were just that much better. Who will be eliminated. . . next?

TAR 33, Recap Leg 1, 1/5/22

Welcome to Leg 1 of The Amazing Race 33! It’s been a long time since we’ve been together; in fact, this season was interrupted by COVID, so we’ll get to see some race pre-COVID and some race during COVID, which are probably going to look rather different. However, we still for some reason get the staggered cell phone start from TAR28 (you know, the social media stars season.) Now, this part gets a little crazy, but in the hustle and bustle of a phone call from Phil and a remote start, we get to meet the teams. (click for more):

TAR 33, Recap Leg 0, 1/2/22

Welcome back to the Amazing Race! It’s season number thirty-three. Which started taping in February of 2020. Before the pandemic. And then pandemic, which by the way, how’s everyone doing? Feeling the wanderlust? Need to travel? Well, TAR resumed September 17, 2021, so now we can have a full season, which will be interesting. Oh, and I brought Toyouke along for the snark. Aren’t you lucky? We’ve read the bios, and watched the videos and read the bios, so let’s get to this shall we? (Toyouke: “Why are the individual team bios on Instagram? I refuse to get an Instagram account and this is obnoxious.”) The eleven teams for TAR33 are: (click for more)
