Welcome to Leg 11! Last time, on We Can’t Be The Only Ones Who Are Lost, 5 teams raced from Naples to Strasbourg. Han and Holden, who were saved by non-elimination in Naples still struggled, but ultimately it was husbands Brett and Mark, who in fact were the only ones who got lost, were eliminated. Clue: Make your way back to Frankfurt, Germany to fly to Porto, Portugal! Once there, pick a car at the airport to drive yourselves through Portugal. CAUTION: Valet Roulette Ahead!

Teams make their way by taxi to the travel agency, Voyages Mosaic, and arrive in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Alyssa/Josiah
3- Jonathan/Ana
4- Han/Holden
Teams all get on the same flight from Frankfurt landing at 11:20 and train and make their way to Frankfurt International Airport. Teams arrive via Amazing Red Line at the airport in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
The Amazing Yellow Line takes us from Frankfurt to Porto, and teams arrive and make their way to the valet parking area in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Alyssa/Josiah
3- Han/Holden
4- Jonathan/Ana
WARNING: VALET ROULETTE AHEAD!
Teams take their keys from the Valet Roulette Board in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Jonathan/Ana
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Han/Holden
Teams have a 3/5 chance of getting manual transmission, and a 2/5 chance of getting automatic transmission. (Toyouke: “The navigation is going to screw these teams more than stick shift. Love that everyone is glad for a map. I don't retract my statement.”) The valets bring them their cars and we find out what they will be driving.

Even with the video buildup of teams failing driving stick, it ends up not really mattering. (Toyouke: “OK "Valet Roulette" is amazing. I approve. Even though Han and Holden only had a brief issue and it wasn't as bad as usual. But you know what? I take back my praise. Why doesn't that wheel spin? Terrible.”) So teams are instructed to drive themselves to Granjão Vila Marim in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive at the clue box in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah – who struggle getting to their destination. (Toyouke: “Is this Alyssa and Josiah's first fight?”)
4- Jonathan/Ana – who got extremely lost. (Toyouke: “As we expected, if the situation is reversed Jonathan is still an ass. So I don't buy his breezy "oops" like it doesn't matter. If Ana had told them the wrong way he'd bring it up for the whole episode. He screws up directions and somehow she's the annoying one.”)
Teams are now instructed to choose an inflatable raft and paddle across the Douro River. Once on the other side, they choose two empty wine barrels with the same label and roll them up the hill to Quinta de Santa Clara, a barrel storage house, in order to get their next clue. Teams cross the river and arrive at the other side in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams then pick their barrels and roll them up the hill. Teams deliver their barrels and get their clues in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Castello de Santa Maria da Feira to get their next clue. Teams run down the hill back to their rafts and make their way back to their cars. They arrive in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams now drive themselves to Castello de Santa Maria da Feira and arrive in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack – Carson: "Shout out to all my Lisboas." (Toyouke: “That is funny.”)
2- Alyssa/Josiah
3- Han/Holden – (Toyouke: “Han and Holden might not be able to navigate but I'm impressed at how quickly they said "let's ask for directions".”)
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams open their clues and come to the twelfth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who’s
got a steady hand?
In
this roadblock, one team member must put on a suit of armor and then
learn how to shoot a longbow. Once they have had sufficient
practice, roadblockers must mount a practice horse and use seven
arrows to hit three moving targets. Once complete, they will get
knighted and receive their next clue.

4- Jonathan – (Toyouke: “See this is why people are mad about Jonathan. He was perfectly polite to everyone at the challenge. So I think he has some understanding of how to act.”)
After much arrow shooting, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack – (Toyouke: “So Carson was able to finish the Roadblock in the time it took Alyssa to get dressed? That's not bad.”)
2- Alyssa/Josiah
3- Han/Holden
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Campanhã Train Station and board a train to take them to São Bento Train Station. Once there, teams must fine the tile vendor to get their next clue. Teams arrive at Campenhã Station in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden – (Toyouke: “Holden dabbing before he gets down from the "horse" is hilarious.”)
3- Alyssa/Josiah – because they missed the marked parking.
4- Jonathan/Ana – (Toyouke: “This is really a lot of foreshadowing and editing. I realize Jonathan gave them a ton of ammunition. But you don't have to air it all.”)
Teams board their trains to São Bento Station.
Train 1
1) Carson/Jack – (Toyouke: “I love Jack and Carson talking about the train leaving and the Amazing Cameraman caught Han and Holden running onto the platform.”)
2) Han/Holden – who had two minutes to board.
Train 2
1) Alyssa/Josiah – who had to wait for their train because it was late.
2) Jonathan/Ana
Teams arrive at São Bento Station in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams find the tile vendor and get their clues in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams flip over their tile and find that they have to make their way on foot to ODE Porto Wine House in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Han/Holden
2- Carson/Jack
3- Alyssa/Josiah
4- Jonathan/Ana
Teams are now instructed to construct a puzzle made of 81 unique ceramic tiles. Once the puzzle is assembled correctly, teams must then use mortar to attach it to the nearby wall. Once complete, teams will receive a print copy of the artwork, which is their next clue. Teams complete the puzzle in the following order:
1- Carson/Jack
2- Han/Holden
3- Jonathan/Ana
4- Alyssa/Josiah
Teams are now instructed to make their way on foot to the location in the picture, the bank of the Douro River on the other side of the Luis I Bridge, the PIT STOP of the eleventh leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
1- Carson/Jack – who win . . . nothing but business class seats on the final leg. As do the other top 3 teams.
2- Han/Holden
3- Jonathan/Ana
4- Alyssa/Josiah
And Alyssa and Josiah are eliminated. Josiah thought the tasks were particularly hard in the this leg. Alyssa: “But I’m glad I got to do them with you.” Aw.
