Project Runway 7/23/26--"In It to Win It" summary

Previously on “Project Runway:” Jeffrey was in, meaning R'Bonney, Plane, and Robby were all eliminated. The next challenge was to make whatever you would like, in one day. It's framed as “redemption” but some people don't need redemption? Anyway, this time five people will be eliminated. Then Christian reveals a twist: the top six from last week (the people with immunity) and the six eliminated designers are all going to vote to save someone. So one of those five people who is eliminated can stay. None of the people with immunity were in the top, and it's implied that all of them were terrible this week, but I don't think they all were. Joseph won and got immunity, because that's the win most likely to piss off everyone. Octavius, Dani, Bi, Bao, and Yangyang were all out. Don't think I don't see how how many Asians are in that list. So now we have to wait to see who gets saved. (click for more)

Project Runway 7/16/26--"Ready, Set, Redemption!" summary

Previously on “Project Runway:” we've decided the last season is the direction we'd like to take the show. There are 22 designers and Tyra Banks is here to judge. Not an actual designer. The only good thing is that six people will be eliminated. The bad news is we are back to cliffhanger eliminations. Everyone brought a look from home, so these looks should have been well constructed. Also we don't have time to watch construction and then have a runway that shows everyone. Six people were winners and have immunity: Bryan, Bobby, Elizabeth, Chloe, Jude, and Andriy. They initially called eight people out in the bottom, for some suspense. Jennifer, Andrea, and Lré were all eliminated quickly, with no suspense. Dani is in. So out of R'Bonney, Plane, Robby, and Jeffrey, only one gets to stay. (click for more)

Project Runway 7/9/26--"22 for Season 22" summary

The last season of this show was not very good, and for this season they seem to have doubled down and hired Tyra Banks and cast 22 designers. I have zero motivation to even watch this show, let alone motivation to write about it, but we'll see. I was going to write this as it happened, but I just couldn't get up the motivation to deal with it until Friday morning. Certainly if this season drags on and they don't start doing double or triple eliminations, I don't think I can summon up motivation to start a 90 minute show at 8:30pm on a school night. I think this is what I did last season and seemed OK. Let's see how long I can last. (click for more)
