Welcome to Leg 3! Last time, on Get Your Clue from the Master Baker, 10 teams continued to travel through London, this time during the day. Caro and Ray had a meltdown, but Ryan and Dusty managed to hit bullseyes quickly and finish first. The Twinnies finish last (good) but are not eliminated (BOO!). But teams are also told to keep racing! Who will be eliminated. . . next?

Ryan/Dusty (1st)
Clue: Make your way to Euston Railway Station and take a train to Glasgow, Scotland! Once there, find your next clue in the NCP Car Park at Glasgow Central Station.
No departure times today. Probably because of the keep racing.
Connie/Sam (2nd)
Arun/Natalia (3rd) – who remark this is the best thing they could do together. Well, hope this isn’t their swan song.
Raquel/Cayla (4th)
Kim/Penn (5th)
Caro/Ray (6th)
Anthony/Spencer (7th)
Akbar/Sheri (8th)
Taylor/Isaiah (9th)
Lulu/Lala (10th)
Teams make their way to Euston Station. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Ryan/Dusty
2- Connie/Sam
3- Arun/Natalia
4- Raquel/Cayla
5- Kim/Penn
6- Caro/Ray
7- Anthony/Spencer
8- Akbar/Sheri
9- Taylor/Isaiah
10- Lulu/Lala
Teams arrive in Glasgow. They find their cars, which the must drive to Oran Mor. (Toyouke: "Very excited about having to drive themselves, with stick shift.”) Teams depart for the theatre in the following order:
1- Taylor/Isaiah
2- Connie/Sam
3- Kim/Penn
4- Anthony/Spencer
5- Ryan/Dusty
6- Arun/Natalia
7- Caro/Ray
8- Akbar/Sheri
9- Raquel/Cayla
10- Lulu/Lala
After much attempting to drive a stick shift (Toyouke: “I've missed a good old-fashioned stick shift montage.”), teams arrive at Oran Mor in the following order:
1- Kim/Penn - (Toyouke: “I don't like Kim and Penn but I have to give them credit for driving around looking for a clue box, instead of looking for road signs or something.”)
2- Anthony/Spencer
3- Ryan/Dusty
4- Lulu/Lala
5- Arun/Natalia
6- Raquel/Cayla
7- Connie/Sam
8- Caro/Ray – and Ray struggles to drive stick shift. Caro mentions it, and he gets out of the car, and blames her. (Toyouke: “You can't get out of the car and walk away in a tantrum and then tell your girlfriend to relax.”)
9- Taylor/Isaiah
10- Akbar/Sheri
When they rip open the clue, teams get the second roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who thinks they have this one in the bag?
In this roadblock, one team member must assemble a bagpipe correctly and then play a note while a Bagpipe Orchestra plays a Scottish anthem. Once complete, teams get their next clue.
The following teammates take the Roadblock:
1- Kim
2- Spencer
3- Dusty
4- Lulu
5- Natalia
6- Cayla
7- Sam
8- Caro
9- Isaiah
10- Akbar
After much bagpipe assembly and playing, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Kim/Penn
2- Ryan/Dusty
3- Anthony/Spencer
4- Arun/Natalia – and Natalia decides to give the other teams a little help. (Toyouke: “No don't hang around and help them! Just go!”)
5- Lulu/Lala
6- Connie/Sam
7- Raquel/Cayla
8- Caro/Ray
9- Akbar/Sheri
10- Taylor/Isaiah
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Alexandra Park and find the Walter MacFarlane Saracen Fountain to get their next clue. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Kim/Penn
2- Anthony/Spencer
3- Ryan/Dusty
4- Raquel/Cayla
5- Connie/Sam
6- Caro/Ray
7- Lulu/Lala
8- Arun/Natalia -who are now concerned that everyone passed them because they were helpful. (Toyouke: “They're not passing you because you helped them. They're passing you because you're stopped getting directions and they haven't stopped for directions.”)
9- Taylor/Isaiah
10- Akbar/Sheri
Teams open their clues and we get the third Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Kilt OR Rebuilt
*Kilt: Teams make their way to Brittania Panopticon Music Hall, dress in Highland costume and perform “Donald, Where’s Your Troosers?” from memory to get their clue from a Scottish lad.
*Rebuilt: Teams make their way to Fishers Cooperage, and must remove two metal hoops from two barrels in order to repair and replace the barrel head. Once complete, teams get their next clue from the Master Cooper.
1- Kim/Penn choose Kilt
2- Anthony/Spencer choose Rebuilt
3- Ryan/Dusty choose Rebuilt
4- Connie/Sam choose Rebuilt
5- Raquel/Cayla choose Rebuilt
6- Caro/Ray choose Rebuilt
7- Lulu/Lala choose Kilt
8- Arun/Natalia choose Rebuilt – but decide it is too hard, and in the first Bald Snark of the season, decide to switch to Kilt, because it wasn’t what they expected. (Toyouke: “How is it not what you expected? Fix some barrels. There didn't seem to be a twist.”)
9- Taylor/Isaiah choose Kilt
10- Akbar/Sheri choose Kilt
Much performing and barrel repairing ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:
1- Kim/Penn
2- Ryan/Dusty
3- Anthony/Spencer
4- Connie/Sam
5- Raquel/Cayla
6- Caro/Ray
7- Lulu/Lala
8- Taylor/Isaiah
9- Akbar/Sheri
10- Arun/Natalia
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to the University of Glasgow and find the Cloisters, the PIT STOP of the third leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive MAY be eliminated!
1- Kim/Penn – who win a trip for two from Travelocity to Cape Cod! Woo.
2- Ryan/Dusty
3- Anthony/Spencer
4- Connie/Sam
5- Caro/Ray
6- Raquel/Cayla
7- Lulu/Lala
8- Taylor Isaiah
9- Akbar/Sheri
10- Arun/Natalia
Arun and Natalia finish last, and are sadly eliminated from the Race. Arun is just so genuinely happy he was able to have this experience with his daughter.
ORDER NOW:
1st – Kim/Penn
2nd – Ryan/Dusty
3rd – Anthony/Spencer
4th – Connie/Sam
5th – Caro/Ray
6th – Raquel/Cayla
7th – Lulu/Lala
8th – Taylor/Isaiah
9th – Akbar/Sheri
The next day, February 28, 2020, Phil calls all the teams together and puts the Race on pause due to the Coronavirus. (Toyouke: “You know it's serious because they left in the shots of the camera crews.”) He hopes that they will be able to come together again to finish the Race, and when they do, they will be the first set of Racers to get a chance to regroup before they have to keep racing!
Nineteen months later, at St. Gallen Cathedral in Switzerland, five teams gather to restart the Race. . . (Toyouke: “Well at least we'll get a proper starting line. I do kind of wish they'd allowed previously eliminated teams the chance to be back on. Maybe it's how in my other reality shows they would have done it immediately. Also I like the two teams who would come back.”)
Next week: Switzerland! And what are we going to do about those missing teams? (Toyouke: “WAIT THEY DID COME BACK?!?!?!?! “) Until next time!
