to Leg 10! Last time, on Triple
Bald Snarks Never Pay Off, 6
teams raced to the new Amazing Race City of Split, Croatia. Nic and
Vic caught a standby flight that paid off and put them in the middle
of the pack. Bromance was in the lead for the first time, only to be
stymied by a Detour. GayTube managed to win their fourth leg, and
the significant time spent on the Detour sent Chris and Bret
packing. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

and Korey get to look up the trip from their last win and discuss how
they should bring the gnome with them. (Toyouke: “You
know Tyler and Korey will actually bring the gnome and post pics of
it everywhere.”) Tyler:
“It will be like putting ET in the basket!”

the bike rack that has the tandem bikes is right outside the train
station. Inconveniently, the bikes automatically unlock at 9 am. So
all the teams arrive, wait for the 9 am unlock, and get their bikes
with clues on them in the following order:

us that it is her birthday and it would be great to not get
eliminated on her birthday.

Teams
are now instructed to ride their bike to Jachthaven and search on
foot for their next clue. Teams arrive at the clue (Toyouke: “Not
even like, a fake basket with colors. Literally a bag in the
bushes.”) in the
following order:

And
we get the Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
High
OR Dry
*High:
Teams must bike to Erf 34 and put a fake cow on a tractor. Teams
then follow the tractor on their bikes into town to the Nieuwe Toren
and hoist the cow to the top in less than 40 seconds. Once complete,
one team member goes to the top of the tower to retrieve the clue.
*Dry:
Teams must bike to Erf 29 and vault across a ditch the Dutch way
(Fierljeppen) and collect two rounds of cheese and a dozen uncracked
eggs. They then ride their bikes to Kampen Market in town and
deliver the undamaged goods to get their clue.

cow hoisting and fierljeppen for dry goods ensures. So, teams
complete the detour in the following order:

are now instructed to bike to IJsselkade.
WARNING:
DOUBLE U-TURN AHEAD!!
Teams
arrive at IJsselkade in the following order:

When
they arrive, teams find the U-Turn.
This
is a Double U-Turn. Teams may choose to U-turn any team they wish
(well, the team has to be behind them), but they may only use the
U-Turn once during the race. If a team is U-turned, they must go back
to the Detour choices and complete the Detour that they did not
complete. This U-Turn is doubled, meaning two teams may U-Turn two
other teams. Phil, during his explanation, does not say how many
U-Turns there will be on this race.

Leo/Jamal choose to U-Turn Nicole/Victor –
because they voted for them in the voting U-Turn in Leg 8. Hold a
grudge much? (Toyouke: “I
was going to say, this U-Turn decision is petty, but then again, the
strongest two teams are ahead of you and you know they're ahead of
you. So what are you going to do?”)
4-
Nicole/Victor are U-Turned and choose to U-Turn Becca/Floyd
5-
Becca/Floyd are U-Turned and cannot U-Turn
(Toyouke:
“The fact
that the Afghanimals were behind, and were seen by two teams, is
actually more of a gamechanger than the U-Turn itself. Think of the
shenanigans if no one knew where any of the other teams were.”) So
Nic and Vic and Team Fun have been U-Turned and now must go back and
complete the Detour option that they haven’t done yet. So, Nicole
and Victor head to High, and have difficulty finding the farm to get
the cow and hoisting the cow. (Toyouke: “But
Nicole and Victor did do the Detours in probably the best order.”)
Becca and Floyd head to
Dry, have no problem getting the goods, but forget to check their
eggs and try to deliver a cracked one, so they have to go all the way
back to the farm. (Toyouke: “Becca's
got a temper. I feel like we saw it last time when they lost the
passport. She's not taking it out on Floyd but it's there.”)
Teams complete the U-Turn in the following order:

Teams
open their clues after the U-Turn, and discover that they need to
return their bikes, pick a marked car and drive themselves to Smit
Giethoorn Boat Rental and Canal Cruises to get their next clue.
Teams arrive at the train station and the cars in the following
order:

Teams
then make their way to Giethoorn and find the boat rental in the
following order:

Teams
find their next clue and discover that they must board a motor boat
and make their way through the canals to find two other marked boats
and create a boat train. Once complete, teams can leave the canals
and head towards the Pit Stop. Teams then start searching for boats
in the following order:

Tyler/Korey – who randomly
find hot boys. Tyler: “Oh,
men." (Toyouke: “Ha!”)

find all their boats and complete their boat trains in the following

are now instructed to row themselves to Bovenwijde Lake Island, the
PIT STOP of the tenth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team
to arrive WILL be eliminated!

in a shocking ending, Becca and Floyd are eliminated. Floyd: “It

but we’re grateful that we got to live this delusional childhood
dream twice.” (Toyouke: “But
you know what? They screwed up the Detour. What can you do.”)
