TAR 28 Recap Leg 7, 4-8-16

Welcome to Leg 7! Last time, on No One Expects the Cleaning Guy!, 7 teams traveled from France to Yerevan, Armenia. Rooster Teeth and Ultimate made bread, while other teams made rugs, and left Tyler and Korey in the dust. In the meantime, Sheri and Cole somehow surged to second, but lost ground when Sheri couldn’t change the oil. Brodie and Kurt get first again, and an Express Pass, and Sheri and Cole are not eliminated and handed their next clue in order to keep racing. Who will be eliminated. . . next?

Arrival at the pit stop last episode:

Temple of Garni, Garni, Armenia

We cut to Sheri and Cole getting their clue as they run off to the next destination.

Brodie/Kurt (1st)

Clue: Make your way to Yerevan Railway Station and take an overnight train to Tbilisi, Georgia! Once there, make your way to Freedom Square and find the statue of Saint George, where you will find your next clue.

Burnie/Ashley (2nd)

Zach/Rachel (3rd)

Dana/Matt (4th)

Scott/Blair (5th)

Tyler/Korey (6th)

Sheri/Cole (7th)

So teams make their way to the train station. Teams arrive in the following order:

1- Brodie/Kurt

2- Scott/Blair

3- Burnie/Ashley

4- Sheri/Cole

5- Zach/Rachel

6- Dana/Matt

7- Tyler/Korey

All the teams are on the same midnight train to Georgia, and the editors are still trying to make Blodie happen. (Toyouke: "Wow it would really be terrible if one of these teams were to be eliminated and it put an end to this epic romance.") ANYWAY, teams arrive in Tbilisi in the following order:

1- Sheri/Cole

2- Burnie/Ashley

3- Zach/Rachel

4- Dana/Matt

5- Tyler/Korey

6- Scott/Blair

7- Brodie/Kurt

Teams now make their way to Freedom Square and get their clues from the St. George Statue in the following order:

1- Brodie/Kurt

2- Tyler/Korey

3- Burnie/Ashley

4- Dana/Matt

5- Sheri/Cole

6- Zach/Rachel

7- Scott/Blair

Teams now discover that they are going to make their way to Narikala Fortress and ride the gondola back to the bottom of the hill in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive at the fortress in the following order:

1- Brodie/Kurt

2- Tyler/Korey

3- Zach/Rachel

4- Burnie/Ashley

5- Sheri/Cole

6- Dana/Matt – whose taxi drops them off at the bottom of the hill and they have to walk all the way up to the gondolas.

7- Scott/Blair – whose taxi stalls halfway up the hill causing them to walk the rest of the way.

Teams are now instructed to make their way to Jvari Monastery in the town of Mtskheta, after some initial confusion about where the monastery is actually located. Teams arrive in the following order:

1- Tyler/Korey

2- Brodie/Kurt

3- Zach/Rachel

4- Burnie/Ashley

5- Sheri/Cole

6- Dana/Matt

7- Scott/Blair

And teams get the Detour Clue.

DETOUR:

Clean OR String

*Clean: Teams travel to Chardakhi and find Iago’s Winery. Once there, they must clean out a clay wine pot by removing the leftover grapes and stems, and then using water and a sponge to get the pot as clean as possible. Once complete, Iago will give teams the next clue.

*String: Teams remain in Mtskheta and find Arsekidsis 15, where teams make churchkhela, a sausage-like candy made of twenty hazelnuts, and dipped in a sugary coating. Once teams have correctly completed 5 strings, teams get their next clue. There are only four candy making stations available for this challenge.

1- Tyler/Korey choose String – and after completing five strings, are told that they have only completed one correctly. With bleeding fingers, they attempt the first Bald Snark of the season and switch to Clean.

2- Brodie/Kurt choose String

3- Zach/Rachel choose String

4- Burnie/Ashley choose String

5- Dana/Matt choose String – and arrive fifth. So they watch and realize how hard it is. So they decide to Clean, which is legitimately in another town. They determine that it is taking too long to get there, so they go back to String. Once they return, Tyler and Korey are leaving to Bald Snark. So, they turn around and follow them all the way to Clean. (Toyouke: "So much time wasted.")

6- Scott/Blair choose String – and wait out the opening of a station.

7- Sheri/Cole choose Clean

Much candy making and cleaning sewing ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

1- Zach/Rachel

2- Burnie/Ashley

3- Brodie/Kurt

4- Sheri/Cole

5- Scott/Blair

6- Dana/Matt

7- Tyler/Korey

Teams are instructed to return to Tbilisi and make their way to Rustaveli National Theatre, where they will get their next clue. They arrive in the following order:

1- Zach/Rachel

2- Burnie/Ashley

3- Brodie/Kurt

4- Sheri/Cole

5- Dana/Matt

6- Tyler/Korey

7- Scott/Blair – whose taxi needed gas.

And teams get the seventh roadblock clue.

ROADBLOCK:

Who’s light on their feet?

In this roadblock, one team member must choose a choreographer and learn a Georgian dance routine. Once completed correctly, teams get their next clue.

The following teammates take the Roadblock:

1- Zach
2- Ashley – who has dancing experience.

3- Kurt – who apparently has been dancing for 10 years. Who knew?

4- Sheri

5- Dana

6- Korey - #koreyography (Toyouke: "No")

7- Scott

After much dancing or lack thereof, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

1- Burnie/Ashley

2- Zach/Rachel

3- Brodie/Kurt

4- Dana/Matt

5- Sheri/Cole

6- Scott/Blair – who leave with Tyler’s bag.

7- Tyler/Korey – who flip out that Tyler’s bag is gone, and Scott rushes in with the bag, creating a head to head run for the Pit Stop.

Teams find now that they must have their taxi take them to the Bridge of Peace in Rike Park, the PIT STOP of the seventh leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!

1- Zach/Rachel – who win a trip for two to Turks & Caicos. And a private butler.

2- Burnie/Ashley – who arrive after their cab took them accidentally to Vake Park.

3- Brodie/Kurt

4- Dana/Matt

5- Sheri/Cole – who used the beautiful women in the park to find Phil.

6- Tyler/Korey – who are way faster than. . .

7- Scott/Blair

And Scott and Blair are the last to arrive and are eliminated. Blair is lucky to have her dad. Scott thinks his daughter is incredible and can do anything. Now go away so Brodie can mope.
