Welcome to Leg 8! Last time, on The Amazing Race European Skydiving Adventure, 7 teams raced to Bucharest, Romania. The Detour was messy. Izzy and Paige, however, took the non-messy Detour option and it kept them alive. Tucker and Eric won their fourth leg in a row, and Natalie and Stephanie, who were early race contenders, were eliminated. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Phil also lets us know that the leg was designed with Expedia Experiences. (Toyouke: “Product placement legs are annoying, but at least Travelocity made them carry a gnome around all day.”) Teams now make their way to Herastrau Park. Teams arrive at the clue box in the following order:

When teams open their clue, teams come to the ninth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who’s
ready for an Expedia Eggs-perience?
In
this roadblock, one team member must search a field to find a
decorated Romanian Easter egg that matches one of the large examples.
When the Roadblocker finds an egg, they must roll the giant egg to
the chicken and get the egg approved by the chicken to get their next
clue.
(Toyouke: “Swedish Roulette” is not "An Expedia Experience". Also what is this Spirit Halloween chicken costume.”) The following team members complete the Roadblock.

After much Swedish Roulette, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

Teams are given a postcard with a picture on it from the chicken as their next clue. Teams must figure out that they are travelling to the Palace of Parliament in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive in the following order:

– who jumped on a train without asking for directions first, giving
them an 8 minute lead. (Toyouke: “Risky
to get on a train without knowing which direction to go. They could
have gone in the wrong direction and have to backtrack.”)

5- Izzy/Paige

Teams open their clues and we get the sixth Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Find The Beat OR Hit The Note
*Find The Beat: Teams make their way to Palatul Camerci de Comert Bucuresti to learn a Romanian folk dance. Team get into traditional costume, and then learn the dance. Once they perform it to the satisfaction of the choreographer, teams get their next clue.
*Hit The Note: Teams make their way to Casa Gradisteanu Ghica and build two Pan flutes. Once assembled correctly, teams choose an instructor to learn a Romanian folk song on the flutes. Once the song is performed to the satisfaction of Pan flute master Radu Nechifor, teams will receive their next clue.
1- Tucker/Eric choose Hit The Note
2- Jas/Jag choose Find The Beat – (Toyouke: “Interesting that Jas and Jag immediately screwed up and they just let them do the whole thing instead of stopping.”)
3- Kyland/Taylor choose Find The Beat Find The Beat – but only chose it because it was the closer Detour to the Palace of Parliament, and hand over their Express Pass as soon as they arrive.
4- Izzy/Paige choose Hit The Note – because Izzy is a professional flautist.
5- Joseph/Adam choose Find The Beat
6- Jack/Chelsie choose Hit The Note – but were lost getting to their Detour for over an hour. (Toyouke: “I get that there's nothing you can do after running around for an hour, but I don't think you can talk people out of being upset.”)
(Toyouke: “Playing a flute seems much more difficult than dancing if you don't already know what you're doing.”) Much dancing and flute playing ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

4- Izzy/Paige
5- Joseph/Adam – and we are reminded that Adam is diabetic.

Teams are now instructed to make their way to Green Hours Jazz and Theatre Café in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive and get their clue in the following order:

5- Jack/Chelsie
6- Joseph/Adam
Teams are now instructed to each make 10 mici, a Romanian sausage. Once approved by the chef, each team member must eat one grilled mici in order to get their next clue. Teams make and eat their mici in the following order:

3- Kyland/Taylor – (Toyouke:
“Kyland is not a good
teacher. He's just condescending throughout, and then is somehow
shocked when Taylor gets mad. You
saying "Would you mind doing it the way that I just showed you"
is not working together.”)

Teams are now instructed to take a taxi to Mogosoaia Palace in Mogosoaia, the PIT STOP of the eighth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive MAY be eliminated!
1- Jas/Jag – who win Expedia 1 Key Cash Rewards for a trip for 2 to Bermuda.

5- Jack/Chelsie – Chelsie: "Uncle Phil!" (Toyuke: “Oh my God.”)
6- Joseph/Adam – and we are reminded that Adam is diabetic. (Toyouke: “One of Nat and Kat was diabetic, right? And we heard about it one time the whole season, right? I'm not off base to wonder what is up with these two.”)
Joseph and Adam are the last team to arrive. But this is a non-elimination leg and they are still in the Race! They will have “some sort of penalty” on the next leg. (Toyouke: “So does that mean it's not a Speed Bump? It's something else? Automatic U-Turn, what?” Kmanpat: “I was hoping a return of the Yield.”)
