Welcome to Leg 8! Last time, on This Product Placement Episode Is Not Brought To You By a Gnome, 7 teams raced from Germany to Ljubljana, Slovenia. There was an Express Pass battle between four teams, which ended in victory for Rob and Corey. Steve and Anna Leah made mistakes and dealt with anger and sadness, only to end up second to last behind sisters Morgan and Lena, who were eliminated. Who will be eliminated. . . next? So teams make their way on foot back to Congress Square, which you may recall is where their cars were parked originally. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Todd/Ashlie
3- Rob/Corey
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Robbin/Chelsea
6- Steve/Anna Leigh
When they rip open the clue, teams get the ninth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who can deliver the goods?
In this roadblock, one team member must pick up a krosnja, which is a backpack that holds suha roba, or wooden utensils. Roadblockers then find an address where they pick up the suha roba and correctly load them onto the krosnja. Then they carry the utensils to Levstikov Trg, where a judge will determine if the krosnja is loaded correctly. If so, they receive their clue that they can open when they reunite with their partner in Congress Square.
The following teammates take the Roadblock:
1- John - "I'm starting from top down but back to front" (Toyouke: “This is the kind of statement that seems helpful but also is not helpful.”)

5- Chelsea – who misses a utensil in her first check and has to return to where she loaded.

After much krosnja loading and carrying, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Todd/Ashlie

4- Joel/Garrett
5- Steve/Anna Leigh – (Toyouke: “Now we're all smiles but you'll have to drive yourselves in a second and then you'll collapse again.”)
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves in their marked cars located in Park Zvezda to Pivka Jama, and explore the cave to get their next clue. Teams arrive at Pivka Jama in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Rob/Corey
3- Steve/Anna Leigh
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie – who took a 30 km “Dad Detour” past the site. (Toyouke: “So she doesn't drive but also he's the navigator? And also he sucks at navigating? How do they get anywhere? Also, you can't make someone both navigate and drive and then complain when you get lost.”)
6- Robbin/Chelsea – who found the cave but decided because it said “Campsite” on the sign, it must be incorrect.
Teams don headlamps and go spelunking to find the Pivka Jama clue in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Rob/Corey
3- Steve/Anna Leigh
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams are now instructed to continue farther into the cave and find a dragon puzzle. (Toyouke: “I used to build models like this, but not this complicated I don't think.”) Teams must assemble their puzzle correctly to get their next clue from the dragon keeper. Teams arrive at the puzzles in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Rob/Corey
3- Steve/Anna Leigh
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams complete the task of building dragons in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Rob/Corey
3- Steve/Anna Leigh
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to the Fonda Fish Farm in Lucija. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Rob/Corey
3- Steve/Anna Leigh
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams open their clues and we get the ninth Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Scrape Off OR Swap Out
*Scrape Off: Teams don wetsuits and take a speedboat to a floating platform. Once there, teams choose a kayak and a pair of chains and kayak themselves a floating fish farming container. Using the chain, teams scrape the barnacles off of the two rings of the container. Once approved by the farmer, teams receive their next clue.
*Swap Out: Teams don wetsuits and take a speedboat to a floating platform. Once there, teams choose a kayak and an unmarked buoy and kayak themselves out to the buoy farm. Once there, teams find a marked buoy, retrieve the attached mussels, trade the marked buoy for the unmarked buoy and return to the floating platform. After doing this twice, teams receive their next clue from the farmer.
1- Greg/John choose Swap Out
2- Rob/Corey choose Swap Out – but misread the clue, forget to take an unmarked buoy, unhook the marked buoy, forget to retrieve the mussels, and try to find them but they are lost. (Toyouke: “The LAST team I want to fall to RTFC.“) So they Bald Snark to Scrape Off.
3- Steve/Anna Leigh choose Scrape Off
4- Joel/Garrett choose Swap Out
5- Todd/Ashlie choose Scrape Off – but forget their chains on the floating platform.
6- Robbin/Chelsea choose Swap Out
Much barnacle scraping and mussel harvesting ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:
1- Greg/John
2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Joel/Garrett
4- Rob/Corey
5- Todd/Ashlie
6- Robbin/Chelsea
Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Grad Socerb, the PIT STOP of the eighth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
1- Greg/John – who win $5000 each.

4- Rob/Corey – (Toyouke: “Rob and Corey do the same fist pump and it's adorable.”)

Robbin and Chelsea knew they were last, as the sun is setting around them. Chelsea says their kids are going to love watching them, but once they see Greg and John and Rob and Corey, they’ll know there’s no way.
