Welcome to Leg 9! Last time, on Slovenia? I Hardly Know Her!, 6 teams continued racing about Slovenia. There was strategy, which mostly meant not telling people things. Rob and Corey struggled on the Detour (read the clue!) but decided to save the Express Pass. The brothers were first again, and Todd and Ashlie struggled, but it was Robbin and Chelsea who fell way too far behind and were eliminated. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Clue: Fly 1000 miles north to Stockholm, Sweden! Take a bus back to Vienna, and fly to Stockholm from Vienna International Airport. Once there, make your way by taxi to Stockholms Fallskärmsklubb

So teams make their way by bus back to Vienna International Airport. Teams arrive in the following order:

The Amazing Yellow Line now takes all the teams from Vienna, Austria to Stockholm Arlanda Airport. Teams arrive in the following order:

5- Steve/Anna Leigh
Teams now get taxis to take them to Gryttjom and find the Stockholms Fallskäarmsklubb. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Greg/John

3- Steve/Anna Leigh – (Toyouke: “This is so much frantic energy for still having 5 teams left. I don't think it's so close you need to pay before you get out of the cab.”)

Now, when teams arrive, they have to take a number from the front gate, and the location does not officially open until 5 am. But a number of teams miss the number pull, so teams get their order to get their clues at 5 am in the following order:
1- Joel/Garrett

3- Greg/John
4- Todd/Ashlie
5- Rob/Corey
At 5 am, the clue box becomes available and the teams receive their clue in the following order:
1- Joel/Garrett
2- Steve/Anna Leigh

Teams are instructed to board a skydiving plane and each do a tandem skydive from 10000 feet. Teams will land at Djurgården, where they will get their next clue. Teams complete the skydiving in the following order:

2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Todd/Ashlie
5- Rob/Corey
Teams are now instructed to travel by foot to the boat dock behind Villa Källhagen, and travel to the island of Tynningö to get their next clue. Teams arrive at the boat dock in the following order:
1- Joel/Garrett
2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Rob/Corey
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams take their boats and arrive at Tynningö. They find the clue box and get the clues in the following order:
1- Joel/Garrett
2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Todd/Ashlie
5- Rob/Corey
When they rip open the clue, teams get the tenth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who wants to party?
In this roadblock, one team member must properly construct a flower ring. Once it is approved, they can attach it to a Midsommar maypole, which is then hoisted onto its base by volunteers. Once the Roadblocker has danced around the maypole, the proctor will give them their next clue.
(Toyouke: “I might have done this Roadblock, because you can see what they're doing and it doesn't seem that hard. But it might be fine.”)
The following teammates take the Roadblock:

5- Rob – technically, but this is where the boys decide to use their Express Pass, as it needs to be used by the end of this leg. (Toyouke: "Might as well blow the Express Pass since you have to use it this leg.”)
After much wreath building and dancing, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
(Toyouke: “Yeah I don't think that Roadblock took that long. I feel like everyone was 10-15 minutes apart and Texas already caught up. Or maybe it doesn't matter? Clearly there's nowhere on this leg so far where people have spread out, so only gaining 15 minutes might make a difference?”) Teams are now instructed to take their boats to Nybrokajen and find the Royal Dramatic Theatre. After they arrive that the theatre, they must find the violinist to get their next clue. Teams arrive at Nybrokajen in the following order:

3- Greg/John
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams then make their way on foot to the Royal Dramatic Theatre and arrive in the following order:
1- Rob/Corey
2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams enter the theatre and make their way to the violinist to get their clue in the following order:
1- Steve/Anna Leigh
2- Rob/Corey – (Toyouke: “I can't believe Rob and Corey had any trouble finding how to get into the theater.”)
3- Greg/John
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams are now instructed to travel to the Kungsträdgården Subway Station and take the subway to Solna entrum Station to get their next clue. Teams arrive at Kungsträdgården Subway Station in the following order:
1- Steve/Anna Leigh – who try to take a bus and beg the driver to not let Rob and Corey on. (Toyouke: “Ah, begging public transportation to not let other teams on. A classic. But also, how do you not know what a subway is? I'd let them get the penalty.”)

Teams take the subway and arrive at Solna Centrum Station. Teams find their clues in the following order:
1- Rob/Corey
2- Steve/Anna Leigh

Teams open their clues and we get the tenth Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Sort OR Serve
*Sort: Teams take a taxi to Bromma Atervinningcentral, a recycling facility. Once there, teams choose a pile of recyclables and sort them into all the proper bins. Once complete, the proctor will give them their next clue.
*Serve: Teams take a taxi to Stockholm City Hall and find the Stadshuskällaren, the banquet facility for the Nobel Prize dinners. Once there, one team member becomes the server, and the other becomes the runner. The server chooses a table of Nobel Laureates, notes their year of induction and serves them each a three course meal based on the year the dinner was served. The runner receives instructions from the server in order to find each of the requested dishes. Once all three courses have been delivered correctly, the maitre’d will give them their next clue.
1- Rob/Corey choose Sort – (Toyouke: “Oh yeah, they should have saved the Express Pass for this Detour.”)
2- Steve/Anna Leigh choose Sort

4- Joel/Garrett choose Sort

Much recycling sorting and food delivering ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to take a taxi to Pampas Marina and find their next clue near the Alba II Boat. Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Rob/Corey
2- Steve/Anna Leigh
3- Greg/John
4- Joel/Garrett
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams are now instructed to take the subway from Vastraskogen back to Kungsträdgården Subway Station. After three teams get erroneous information about subway stations, teams arrive at Vastrakogen in the following order:
1- Joel/Garrett
2- Greg/John
3- Rob/Corey
4- Steve/Anna Leigh
5- Todd/Ashlie
Teams are now instructed to make their way on foot to Strömparterran, the PIT STOP of the ninth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
1- Joel/Garrett – who win a trip for two to the Galapagos Islands.

4- Steve/Anna Leigh – (Toyouke: “Why did Anna Leigh have zero reaction when Phil told them it was the final four? Was that rerecorded or something? I think that's what I find so frustrating about her, she just assumes everything is the worst and then when it's not, it's like she doesn't hear it and nothing changes about her expression or mood.”)

And Todd and Ashlie are eliminated. Todd declares himself the true winner of the Amazing Race, and Ashlie reminds us that she loves Todd.
