Welcome to Leg 5! Last time, on It’s Been Way Too Long, India, Nice To Stop By, 10 teams raced from Vietnam to Jaipur, India. Corey managed to fall way behind on a roadblock in which he couldn’t balance pots on his head. Robbin and Chelsea decided to not share information with teams, which annoyed people. And the gays and the sisters were in a visible race to the mat, in which Joe and Ian were sadly eliminated. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Arrival at the pit stop last episode:

Before we get started, we have to have the ridiculous Blind U-Turn Vote.

This is a Blind U-Turn Vote. Teams may choose to U-turn any team they wish, but they may only get one vote. If a team receives the most votes and is U-turned, they must complete both Detour options when they arrive.

(Toyouke: “This stupid vote. I mean if we have to have this dumb vote, you might as well vote based on who will help you. The problem with this vote done before the leg is that if you all vote for a strong team, they could just dominate the leg and you won't eliminate them the way you would if they happened to fall behind enough for you to U-turn them normally.”)

They're already in first. U-Turning them now might mean you just put them in the middle of the pack. That's why you do it when they aren't in first.”)

Teams now take their taxis to Famous Nagra Show Store No. 32 and find the shopkeeper in the following order:

Teams are handed their clue by the shopkeeper and given a telescoping monocular in order to locate their next clue, “Udai Poll No. 2 at Jalabi Chowk” written in one of the windows. (Toyouke: “How are there so many people who do not understand the concept of a telescope?”) Teams find the clue in the following order:

Teams now make their way on foot to Jalabi Chowk. Teams arrive at the cluebox in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to walk across the street and find a marked electric auto Rickshaw from Pink City Rickshaws, and push other rickshaws out of the way in order to get in out of the lot. (Toyouke: “This is a mobile game ad. I have gotten this exact ad where it's a parking lot full of cars and you're supposed to clear them to get the bus out. An ADVERTISEMENT.”) Once the rickshaw is free, teams have the driver take them to SD Masala Spice Shop No. 49. Teams complete the task in the following order:

Teams see that Steve and Anna Leigh have been U-Turned, and then open their clues in which we get the sixth Detour Clue.

DETOUR:

Bundles OR Bricks

*Bundles: Teams make their way to Jaipur Flower Market, where they must bundle up four types of flower (yellow marigolds, orange marigolds, mixed marigolds and roses), load their auto rickshaw with the flowers, instruct their driver to help them deliver the flowers to two temples, and return to the flower market in order to exchange their receipts for their next clue.

*Bricks: Teams make their way to Vivek Enterprises, where they must load a cycling rickshaw with 50 bricks, one sack of sand, and two sacks of gravel. They must then navigate the streets to deliver the supplies to A26 Balai Colony, ride back to Vivek Enterprises, and give their receipt to a supplier in order to receive their next clue.

(Toyouke: “This Detour isn't much of a choice. Both are delivery tasks. I guess you hope people want to carry flowers because they're lighter?”)

1- Steve/Anna Leigh choose Bundles – and almost complete the full Detour before going to Bricks, but don’t return their receipts to the flower market, which they have to do before starting Bricks. (Toyouke: “Yeah, the clue says "return and turn your receipts in" so...you gotta do that. If they hadn't screwed up with not finishing the first task, they'd just be in the front group. So U-Turning them didn't do anything. They screwed themselves by not reading the clue.”)

Much flower bundling and rickshaw loading ensues, leading to much delivering. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to travel by rickshaw to Garg Textile Wholesale Fabric Shop to pick up a bolt of fabric and their next clue from the shopkeeper. Teams get their fabric and clue in the following order:

4- Todd/Ashlie

5- Morgan/Lena

6- Steve/Anna Leigh

7- Andrea/Malaina

Teams are now instructed to travel by rickshaw to Jaipur Mahal to get their next clue. Teams arrive in the following order:

7- Andrea/Malaina

When they rip open the clue, teams get the fifth roadblock.

ROADBLOCK:

Who likes to play with blocks?

In this roadblock, one team member must use four printing blocks and four different colors to properly print nine Indian peacocks on their fabric. Once teams have the required number, the printmaker will give them their next clue.

The following teammates take the Roadblock:

Teams are now instructed to find their rickshaw and use it to travel to Badi Chaupar, the PIT STOP of the fifth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
