Welcome to Leg 4! Last time, on Even With a Pit Stop, Keep Racing Counts as a Double Leg Just Saying, 11 teams continued racing through Vietnam, some on very little sleep from the night before. Emotions ran high, and at the Swedish Roulette Roadblock, Robbin and Chelsea emerged as the victors. In a shocking twist, Jocelyn and Victor, who won the first two legs, were eliminated. Clue: Fly over 2000 miles to Jaipur, India! Once there, take a taxi to the Amber Palace to get your next clue.

(Toyouke: “How long has it been since they were in India?” Kmanpat: “TAR32 was the last time, so about 4 years.”)

Teams now take their taxis and make their way back to Ho Chi Minh City and Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Teams drive and arrive at SGN in the following order:

We learn from Philly that everyone is on the same flight. So, the Amazing Yellow Line takes us from Ho Chi Minh City to India, and teams arrive at Jaipur International Airport in the following order:

1- Greg/John

2- Joe/Ian

3- Robbin/Chelsea

4- Todd/Ashlie

5- Morgan/Lena

6- Rob/Corey

7- Joel/Garrett

8- Andrea/Malaina

9- Steve/Anna Leigh

Teams now find taxis and make their way to the Amber Palace. Teams arrive at the palace in the following order:

1- Todd/Ashlie

2- Andrea/Malaina

3- Joe/Ian

4- Robbin/Chelsea

5- Joel/Garrett

6- Morgan/Lena

7- Rob/Corey

8- Steve/Anna Leigh

9- Liam/Yeremi

10- Greg/John

Teams are now instructed to collect a bundle of sugar cane and walk to the top of the palace to deliver it to the mahout to get their next clue. (Toyouke: “You can't just find the guy? You have to haul sugar cane too?”) Teams complete the task in the following order:

1- Joe/Ian

2- Todd/Ashlie

3- Robbin/Chelsea

4- Rob/Corey

5- Steve/Anna Leigh

6- Joel/Garrett

7- Andrea/Malaina

8- Morgan/Lena

(Toyouke: “Did they contrive all this bunching because the U-Turn is coming and they want a footrace? Some shoving?”) When they rip open the clue, teams get the fourth roadblock.

ROADBLOCK:

Who is feeling balanced?

In this roadblock, one team member must dress in traditional dress and learn a Bhavai dance, which involves balancing three pots on their head. Once approved by the proctor, teams get their next clue. If a roadblocker fails at an attempt, they must go to the end of the line before their next attempt.

The following teammates take the Roadblock:

1- Ian - "It's not because I have poor balance, it's just that they had the wrong shape thing for my head."

After much pot balancing and dancing, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

2- Greg/John – and since they finished near the sisters, the brothers decide to team up with. . .

3- Morgan/Lena – (Toyouke: “Oh man I can hear the internet screaming about this alliance already. Not because they're hateful people, but because everyone is always screaming about alliances.”)

4- Andrea/Malaina

5- Robbin/Chelsea

6- Liam/Yeremi

7- Todd/Ashlie

8- Joe/Ian

9- Joel/Garrett

10- Rob/Corey

Teams are now instructed to make their way on foot to Panna Meena ka Kund, a stepwell, in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive and get their clues in the following order:

1- Steve/Anna Leigh

2- Greg/John

3- Morgan/Lena

4- Andrea/Malaina

5- Robbin/Chelsea

6- Liam/Yeremi

7- Todd/Ashlie – who run by Robbin and Chelsea in the rickshaw and don’t get any help. (Toyouke: “No one is obligated to tell you where to go when you're lost.”)

8- Joe/Ian

9- Joel/Garrett

10- Rob/Corey

Teams open their clues and we get the fifth Detour Clue.

DETOUR:

All Dolled Up OR The Big Picture

For both Detour options, teams choose a marked rickshaw and driver and make their way to Jaigarh Fort.

*All Dolled Up: Teams make their way to the Puppet Theatre to build two Kathputli marionettes. Once they are approved by the puppet maker, teams string them up and make them dance for an audience, where an audience member will give them their next clue.

*The Big Picture: Teams make their way to the gardens and choose a marked mural. Teams must then find missing pieces and costume items in the fort to complete the Rajput painting and stand in the mural for a picture. If the entire recreation is correct, the photographer will give them their next clue. There are only six stations, and once all stations are taken, teams are forced to do the other Detour.

(Toyouke: “OK both these Detour choices seem annoying.”)

1- Steve/Anna Leigh choose All Dolled Up

2- Morgan/Lena choose The Big Picture – but after spending two hours and not finding their mistake, they Bald Snark and switch to All Dolled Up.

3- Greg/John choose The Big Picture

4- Andrea/Malaina choose The Big Picture

5- Robbin/Chelsea choose The Big Picture

6- Liam/Yeremi choose The Big Picture

7- Joe/Ian choose The Big Picture

8- Todd/Ashlie choose All Dolled Up – but only because they were in a foot race with Joe and Ian for the last mural, and were forced to go make marionettes.

9- Joel/Garrett choose All Dolled Up

10- Rob/Corey choose All Dolled Up

Much puppet making and mural creation ensues. So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

1- Steve/Anna Leigh

2- Greg/John

3- Joel/Garrett

4- Andrea/Malaina

5- Todd/Ashlie

6- Rob/Corey

7- Robbin/Chelsea

8- Liam/Yeremi

9- Joe/Ian

10- Morgan/Lena – but they get to their rickshaw just as Joe and Ian are leaving their task, and are heading to the Pit Stop at the same time! (Toyouke: “OOOOoooo an ACTUAL race!”)

Teams are now instructed to find their rickshaw and use it to travel to Gatore ki Chhatriyan, the PIT STOP of the fourth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!
