90 Day Fiance--"Make It or Break It" summary s6e11

Previously on “90 Day Fiance”: Eric pretty much begged his daughters to come to his wedding, because they knew he was choosing Leida over them. He even said he was, because his kids won't leave the country if they're upset, but Leida will. Tasha flat out refused to come to the wedding, and her sisters appear to be taking her side. Meanwhile Eric promised Leida she was ahead of his kids, even though in confessional he said he wouldn't marry anyone like this. Supposedly if Tasha shows up to the wedding, Leida won't cause a scene. Olga visited her friend, who suggested maybe Steven didn't apply for her visa at all, maybe he came here planning to take the baby. Then Steven admitted he waited to apply for the visa until he came to Russia, instead of months before like he told her. He vaguely explained that he didn't know if they were going to work out, but then he said that he is not taking Richie with him and proposed to Olga so it seems like all is forgiven. I still think someone yelled at him. Kalani dragged as much drama as possible out of her sister not knowing she was pregnant, but then she told her at the bachelorette party the night before the wedding. Kolini burst into tears like this was a personal affront and now they're mad at each other, I guess. Fernanda wrote Jonathan a letter about her point of view and apologized, then Jonathan apologized and they forgave each other. But Fernanda still demanded that he return home if she said so, and he agreed. Colt's mom didn't think she could forgive Larissa, but supposedly Colt talked to her and suddenly Larissa is ready to go get her nails done with Mom and apologize and say she can keep on living with them. Sure. Ashley and Jay got married in Vegas, and Ashley suddenly was so sad about not having her friends around she was mopey the whole time. And then she called the producers because Jay created a Tinder profile the day they got back from Vegas and he's been FaceTiming random women. Oh also she IMMEDIATELY went crying to Natalie, who sadly didn't tell her to get fucking bent and slam the door in her face. (click for more)

We continue with Jay and Ashley's fight. Well, so far it's not a fight yet. Ashley says she just wants to know why Jay found it necessary to get on Tinder a week after he got married. She says in confessional that he was even inviting them to her house. Jay says it didn't mean anything to him, but Ashley is of course still pissed. Jay insists that he was just flirting but he wasn't going to hook up with anyone. He says he respects Ashley, but clearly not enough to stay off dating websites. Jay claims he was just bored and it won't happen again. Ashley asks what marriage means to him, then, and Jay says he understands and takes full responsibility for what happens. It's a weirdly formal statement that feels like he knows he's fucked up and needs to cover his ass. Ashley knows he wouldn't have come clean if he hadn't gotten caught. But at least once he got caught he came clean! Uh huh. Jay doesn't know what else he can say, and then Ashley gets up off the couch and says she “doesn't want to do this any more”. She leaves the house but leaves her mike on so we hear her crying. Jay admits he was flirting with some girl, but he never messaged anyone, they all contacted him. I guess he feels that makes it better. He was just messing around, but now he knows that was wrong. He repeats the “full responsibility” line, and then says that if she doesn't love him anymore, over a couple of text messages, then she never loved him at all. Not true, and also come on. Jay claims if the situation was reversed, he'd never consider that cheating, he never met anyone in person, so I guess he feels it doesn't count and Ashley is overreacting. I don't think she is, even considering her history. But like I said last time, she totally should have known better. Jay tells the producers that Ashley keeps telling him to leave and asking when he's going to go, but he wants to be right here so he hasn't answered her. Then he says if she really wants him out, she'll need to get the police because he's not leaving. Great. His plan is to “drill it into her brain” every day that he loves her, and fight for the relationship. Ashley comes back into the house to pour herself some more wine and ignore Jay.

Time for Kalani and Asuelu's wedding. Asuelu can't wait. They talk about the bachelorette party, so of course Kalani can let him know her sister still hates him. Kalani has finally decided she's ready to get married. Asuelu is now worried Kolini will try to stop the wedding, or convince Kalani not to get married. Kalani's mom comes to pick her up to take her to a hotel to get ready. They have champagne, and Kolini makes it a point to say it's weird, now that she's pregnant. They pour champagne into water bottles, and I can't tell if Kalani is drinking or if they gave her apple cider, but she certainly has a water bottle. They tell the one friend that is also in the room that Dad doesn't know. This gives Kolini the opportunity to ask when Kalani is going to tell him, and she says “Certainly not today.” She's convinced he'd stop the wedding.

Kolini does makeup, so of course Kalani tries to ask her about how she feels. I'd be annoyed she didn't leave it alone, but it's completely possible the producers told them to talk about it. When Kalani asks her sister if she feels better now that she's had the chance to sleep on it, she responds that one night isn't going to make it better. Fair. But she also smiles afterwards. She's not sure how she feels, but she does know she's not thrilled. Kalani apparently thought they'd like each other after the 90 days, even after all the bullshit. Kolini's not completely on board, and so Kalani's is worried that her sister's going to spill the beans.

It's also Eric and Leida's wedding day. Leida actually jogs to the makeup place, because she's late. Leida tells the makeup artist that she's most excited to wear a dress. Oh and also to be married finally. She's got a crown, really a jeweled headband. She says, and I quote, “I love the crown because it's made in Paris, it's expensive, it's fancy”. She says it won't be extravagant, but she can't wait to change her status, and Eric will be a great father to Alless. Yeah, let's ignore his other kids. Eric says he's had his doubts, but he's totally ready now. But he wishes his daughters were here so he could tell them how important it is for them to support him. Not “I want them to know how much I want their support” or “They should know how much their support means to me”. But he's phrased it like he needs to force them to support his marriage out of guilt or family obligation or something.

One of Eric's friends is here to help Leida get ready, because she doesn't have anyone. Heather says that at first she thought this was going to be a scam. She doesn't say she now believes it is not a scam. She just says it's going to be interesting. Eric discovers he doesn't have pants. He left to go to another room to get ready, but there's no pants on the hanger with his suit jacket. So he goes back to talk to Leida. Was this her job? Wasn't it his job to get his clothes? But he seems to be blaming her. The wedding is in 25 minutes. They don't have time to go back home, so they're going to buy pants. Leida is pissed she has to deal with this, and I am also wondering why she needs to go with him. Of course any sympathy I might have had for her getting blamed for Eric's fuckup evaporates as she says to him, “Always having a way to fucking pissing me off [sic]”. Eric is claiming he had nothing to do with this. I guess Leida was in charge of packing. I still don't know why she has to go with him to buy pants, but they leave the hotel.

Colt and Larissa's wedding day. Colt says he's excited, in his usual condescending monotone. The ceremony will include Colt and Larissa, his coworker and his wife, his mom...and that's it. Colt is now claiming things are back on track, Larissa and Mom are speaking to each other. Colt doesn't know how to tie a tie. I'm sorry but you're 33 and that's pathetic. Has he never worn a tie? Seriously they're on the internet and I bet I could figure this out and I've never tied a tie in my entire life. Mom says that she's sure Colt's making the right decision for right now. He asks his mom to walk him down the aisle, even though Larissa has no one. Mom still isn't thrilled, but I think she's more OK with it. She also admits she didn't expect John to get as crazy as he did at the barbecue. Colt interviews that even though Larissa uninvited John from the wedding (and John said he didn't want to go anyway), Colt re-invited him and didn't tell Larissa. You idiot. They don't know if they'll show up, but this is a terrible idea. Colt even knows Larissa's reaction might not be great, which is why he didn't tell her. I'd say if you know enough to know not to tell Larissa, then you know what her reaction will be.

Steven is leaving Russia today. He's sad Olga's visa won't get approved any time soon, but that's entirely his fault so I'm not sad about it. He says he's going to get home and finish school and save some money. Olga is sad he's going, but she knows he can't stay here forever. It's hard to date someone long distance, but she says if you love someone it doesn't matter. Steven orders her in the cab no goodbyes, only “see you soon”. He checks in. Steven interviews that leaving his son is the hardest thing to do, but he knows leaving Richie behind with Olga is the right thing to do. I still think either someone he actually respects yelled at him to shame him into not being an asshole, or the embassy got back to him and told him he can't take the baby, so he decided that this was the right thing. Steven promises he is going home to get his shit together for them. He thinks the nine months they spent apart made them strong. Uh huh. This is better than they had been, but I still don't trust him. Olga cries, but she tries not to. Steven says now that he's going home alone, he realizes he should have applied for her visa long ago. Do you think the embassy told him he can't take the baby, so suddenly he feels remorse for fucking around with the visa? That seems pretty likely. Olga now tells us that Steven helped a lot. Uh huh. If she doesn't get her visa, it will be hard to stay here alone. Steven interviews that he's grown up a lot (ha) but he knows he's doing the right thing and his son will respect him. Olga says it'll be silent, and she kind of laughs, like she's glad about it. But now she has to wait again. But she hopes this will be the last time they'll be away from each other. Spoiler, I think they just got married like, a month ago.

Time for Fernanda and Jonathan's wedding. Jonathan's sister is helping her. They're getting married in Chicago, so Jonathan's family can come, but none of Fernanda's family can come. It's sad. It's not her dream wedding, and it was hard that Jonathan's family didn't warm up to her as quickly as she thought they would. Jonathan reveals that his mom isn't coming. Apparently the excuse is his grandmother is very sick. Uh huh. Jonathan's brother makes an appearance to say his brother's a “pimp” so this is weird. Fernanda hasn't talked to her mom yet today, but she did yesterday and her mom said all the things she wanted to. Fernanda also doubts Jonathan's mom's excuse. This is not the dress we saw in the previous episode. Fernanda reveals that she's saving that dress for her big wedding in Mexico. She still looks great, though.

The wedding is in a park, and is small but cute. Jonathan talks about being responsible for someone else's happiness, and how excited he is. But also nervous, of course. Fernanda says it's not the wedding of her dreams, but it's with the man of her dreams. Aww. I got a little choked up there. This is the healthiest relationship on this whole terrible show which is saying a lot. I mean I think it's pretty healthy in general. I've seen worse. Jonathan tells us in the dual interview that he's a better person because of Fernanda. She kind of looks like she wants to make a joke, but she's overcome with emotion instead.

Ashley heads for a park so she can talk to her friend Brandi. Brandi appears in short shorts and a sheer tank top and bra. I don't know with Brandi. Ashley feels like a fool, because she should. Brandi rolls her eyes at discovering Jay started cheating when they got back from the wedding. Ashley is convinced that Jay's reaction is the most telling thing. Basically how when she asked him who was FaceTiming him he panicked so she knew. Brandi tells us that he was probably cheating all along. May I remind you, Brandi, that when Natalie said the same thing you loudly said you supported the marriage and then went on the live aftershow and shittalked Natalie and what a drama queen she was. So don't show up now and smugly interview that he was probably doing it this whole time, as if Ashley should have known. Also supposedly Ashley is the completely opposite of Jay's “type”, aside from also being white. Ashley makes sure to tell us the other girl is fat. And she's 18, but Jay's only 20 so whatever. Brandi tells Ashley she doesn't understand something, and then interviews that age doesn't matter but it totally does. Something is a pattern? Because he's too young and inexperienced? Who knows. Jay has nowhere to go, and Brandi points out it's not her problem. Except where it is, because now that they're married, Ashley serves as his sponsor and is responsible for him. But! Ashley lawyered up (or at least spoke to a lawyer) and she says that if she annuls the marriage, then Jay gets deported. Well how strongly does she feel about that? Ashley doesn't know, because she still loves him. But Brandi tells her that if she can't trust Jay, then it's pretty much over. Ashley can't stop loving him instantly. But if he really loved her, he wouldn't have cheated. She interviews that she doesn't know how people get over this and move on in their relationships, because when it's happened to her she's left. Right now she wants him to go.

Larissa is getting ready, with I think some professional makeup people. Larissa explains to one of them about the K-1 visa, and this girl agrees but then shoots a look at the woman doing the hair. I'm not sure what that look was about, but it's probably not favorable to Larissa. She'd love to have more days, a year, to decide. Larissa tells us she's completely in love with Colt. She didn't buy the slutty dress she thought Colt would want, but instead they bought a very pretty dress from Goodwill. In the limo, we get a voiceover about how she's glad she made up with Colt's mom, but then we hear about the fight with John again. She knows John might show up to the wedding anyway, because he's Colt and Mom's only family in Vegas, and she's not sure what he'll say. She calls him a snake. She also says if someone attacks her, she'll attack back.

There are seriously like, five people here. No, I take that back, it's John and Lea and their kids, and then one random couple and a single guy. The couple is not the same one they went to dinner with before. Colt is really excited to see John, who couldn't be bothered to not wear his work polo shirt. Come on. John doesn't approve of the wedding at all, but he claims that he's here for Colt. Lea managed to dress nicely, but this dick is here in shorts and a polo. Just to cause trouble, I'm sure. Colt knows Larissa thinks John doesn't like her, and of course he is talking about how he needs someone to be an adult with him. OK but adults don't do shit they know their partners will be mad about and then surprise them with it, and then judge their reaction. Like knowing she's afraid of heights and taking her to the Strat. Testing people so you can pass judgment on their reactions is a dick move. Larissa comes down the aisle. She voiceovers that she was shocked to see John, and she's sure he and his wife are against her. She says she'll defend herself, but then she says that it's more important that she's happy and in love and ready to get married. Colt tells us Larissa has managed to control herself, which gives him hope for their future. Ass. Honestly it's possible he just really wanted John there, but because he can't be on camera without being a smug, condescending jerk he's making this whole thing sound like he invited John against Larissa's wishes so that he could force her to pass a test to actually marry him. It's important for his family to approve, but then again today is only about the two of them. They're both problematic. Mom is kind of sad but she hopes they'll all get along. The minister says that love believes the best of each other, so I hope you were listening, COLT. Actually LARISSA too. During the vows, it sounds like they've written their own? There's a part where they repeat after the minister, but then Colt just starts talking, saying he'll do anything to make her happy. Larissa promises to make him happy and “work with your difference”. So they get married, and no one interrupted the wedding.

After the wedding John and Lea appear, and Lea is super nice but John is just not speaking. He says he's confused and barely manages a fist bump for Colt. The foundation is not there. Larissa interviews that everyone thinks Colt is an angel that needs protecting but she's “someone really kind, and [she] will try to be polite”. She'll just ignore John. Mom thinks that she'll stay in the background and she wants them to be independent. But she also thinks it'll be a big happy family. Now that Larissa is married she has nothing but nice things to say about Colt. She wants to stay in the US of course. But something happened and she doesn't know if she can stay in the country. But she doesn't want to talk about it, because today is a happy time. They both look unhappy in the limo.

Leida and Eric head to a store and rush back to the hotel. Leida is totally embarrassed because Eric forgot his own pants. But he blamed it on her, saying she was the one who packed. This is going so well. Leida's dress is very nice, although it looks like it's too big on top. Maybe that's just the dress. Eric's dad shows up and they discuss how his daughters aren't there. It's important to him that this family works, but he flat out said that he has to always take Leida's side and she's more important. Leida says she hopes she can trust Eric. Eric, meanwhile, says that he's ready to marry Leida, even knowing what he might give up. This wedding has slightly more people at it, but still maybe like, a dozen. His youngest daughter is there, so that's good. Also behind her is some guy in jeans and flip-flops, like, people. Come on. Put some real shoes on at least. But the other two are not here. Eric says he thinks they feel he's picking Leida over them, and he is, but not in a bad way. He has to focus on Leida and Alless. Yeah that was not convincing. In his opinion he's choosing love. Hopefully they'll all come together, but I'm not sure about that. Leida claims that she's nervous, but the first time she sees Eric, “well, it's not that bad”. At least she says he looks good. Especially the tie, which she gave him. So they get married. Eric thinks he's very lucky. Leida says she gets to stay in America! I know, I know, it's totally possible she said a bunch of nice things about Eric that they edited out. Eric's dad doesn't think he's crazy. When Eric tells the producers he's sorry his two oldest daughters aren't here, and hopefully they can mend this in the future, Leida says the youngest is here and that's enough. She clearly doesn't care about the other two.

Ashley doesn't know what to do, because Brandi wasn't any help. But she knows Jay still wants to be married. Ashley's opinion is that he should have thought about that before he went on Tinder. So you do know what to do, if you know you don't want to forgive him. They sit on the patio to argue. Ashley can't look at him, but also demands to know what he's thinking. “Thinking about what?” Sigh. Ashley gets loud and demands communication about why he did this, because there must be a reason. Jay keeps insisting that he was bored, so Ashley says then they're fucked. If he does this after three days, what will he do when they have real problems? Ashley is convinced if she hadn't caught him, he'd have slept with multiple women, had them in her house, etc. Jay changes tactics and says she doesn't pay enough attention to him. He doesn't have any friends here, no job, so Ashley can't come home from work and stay on her phone until they go to bed. If he can't talk to her, he'll talk to someone else. Ashley asks why he couldn't have talked to her and asked for those things. Jay says she would have gotten mad. Ashley pulls the mom move of “maybe but I'm way madder now since you lied about it”. She's also saying that Jay wants her to go against “everything” she believes in life? Sure. She says she was cheated on twice (I thought it was every relationship) and she had kids with both of them. You know, someone said we haven't seen her kids because either her or the kids' fathers refused to let them be on TV, which is actually not a terrible decision. Anyway, Ashley left both of them immediately when they cheated. Jay's response is they had sex and he didn't. It doesn't change the fact he went behind her back, but he is truly sorry and it was a mistake, and it wouldn't have gone any further. She of course does not believe this and says they don't need to go there because she's going to believe whatever she believes, no matter what he says. Then why the fuck are you even having a conversation in the first place? Ashley interviews that she's sure if they stayed together, she'd throw everything in his face all the time, and check his phone constantly, and that's not how a marriage should be. I think she was going to do that anyway, but sure, that isn't how a marriage should be. Ashley tells Jay she thinks he's sorry he got caught, not that he did it, but Jay promises if it takes the rest of his life, he'll convince her of that. Ashley just says that her husband of two weeks cheated on her, and maybe that's not forgivable, and she needs some space. Maybe she needs to go let him live his life. Jay interviews that he would have forgiven Ashley for the same thing, because it wasn't that bad. Ashley makes a weird threat about how it's going to be a hell of a fight and maybe it's not worth it. She regrets every decision she's made in the past 90 days.

Asuelu gets ready, and has to figure out his suspenders by himself. He wishes he had more than 90 days. Also they're all terrified that her dad will discover she's pregnant and stop the wedding. Kalani's brother shows up to pick him up, and Asuelu says hopefully he won't fuck up and let it slip that she's pregnant, because Nick doesn't know. Kalani looks at herself in the mirror and claims that this is the first time she's felt excited about getting married, although I think she's said she was excited before.

The boat is nice. Asuelu thinks it's like Titanic. I really need everyone to shut up about how terrified they'll all be if her dad finds out Kalani's pregnant. We get it. More super causal guests. Kalani wants her family to support her because it's her wedding day. Even with how she's pregnant. It's actually really pretty with the sunset and the water and everything. They seem happy. The minister asks if anyone objects and there is a super long dramatic pause, which is dumb because of course no one objects. Kolini tells us later she thought about it though. Asuelu is really emotional. Kalani's mom says that when she saw that, that's what convinced her he's really here for her. Dad thinks Asuelu has the right idea and he really wants to be here for the right reason. But he's still threatening. Sigh. Asuelu says this is like the American dream, as Kalani asks him to get his hand off her butt. Kolini claims she'll be supportive, and she'll be there if it crashes and burns. Implied, she's sure it will. Spoiler! They're still together, as far as I can tell. Asuelu comes out in a sarong to do a traditional dance, which is pretty cute. They dance together, although Kalani half-asses it. The next step is to tell everyone she's pregnant.

Some time after the wedding, Colt stands outside the bathroom, asking Larissa to calm down and come out. She won't even talk to him. He says before the wedding something happened that he didn't think would turn out to be a big deal. Larissa yells through the door “fuck you” and that she's emotionally exhausted. Colt goes back downstairs to sit with his mom, so we can get some exposition. So Colt got a notification from the state, that Larissa is being charged with domestic battery. Four days before the wedding, they got into a fight. Colt says he didn't want anyone to know, but I'm not sure how he avoided having cameras there, or having producers find out and make them talk about it. Anyway, he claims he was worried for Larissa and how she just kept going and going and wouldn't calm down, so he called the police. He'd never seen her like that before, and he “doesn't know how to say it”, but he called the cops. OK look. Someone is going at you and you are “worried” for them? So you think the solution is police? Idiot. I mean how is calling the cops in the middle of your fight going to deescalate the situation? Anyway Larissa spent two days in jail. Mom was surprised it was such a bad fight, and she says that he did call the police, but immediately hung up and told them it was fine, don't come. Oh, yeah, “My fiancee won't calm down, we're having a fight, you know what, never mind everything is cool”. It just screams domestic abuse, and if the genders were reversed everyone would immediately assume the girl felt threatened for calling the cops and the cops should come. You know? So of course the police showed up anyway and took Larissa to jail. Colt didn't press charges but the state did, and he claims they had to because the law says so? Sure. They're not sure if she can still apply for a green card, even if the case gets dismissed. I think from what I read that she still can, even though she got a fine. Mom can't believe they knew this might cause problems with her green card but they still got married. Colt says they ran out of time. He still loves her and wanted to marry her, so he did. He tells us calling the cops was the worst decision he's ever made. Not really, but sure. Colt isn't sure he can make up for what he did. How will he stay married if she can't stay here? Colt says he doesn't know, and he actually seems like he's about to cry, which mean he's more emotional now than he was at his own wedding. Better get a lawyer. Colt claims Larissa is scared, but I doubt it.

So that's the end of the season! Just a reunion left so everyone can judge everyone else. Even shittalking people behind the scenes! Plus it looks like everyone walks off the set at some point. I'm going to try to recap both “tell-all” episodes at once, and try not to get bogged down in exactly what everyone is saying.
