Previously
on “90 Day Fiance”: Natalie came to Ashley's house to yell about
how terrible Jay is. Ashley was not having it, because she says
Natalie just wants attention and can't take a hint. Ashley and Jay
headed to Vegas, where they had a minor argument about how much sex
they should be having, a discussion they should probably have had
three months ago. Larissa said she was going to be “sweet” so
Colt wouldn't kick her out, and she sort of was but not really. Colt
accepted her apology though. They went out with some friends and when
Larissa whined about attention Colt rolled his eyes and they had a
fight about it. Real healthy relationship. Steven's stupid ass got
his son's passport taken care of, but he was very matter-of-fact
about how he plans to take his son with him to America if Olga's visa
isn't ready by the time he has to leave. Because how dare Olga keep
him from his son's life, because it's obviously not his fault her
visa isn't ready. Oops, spoiler! Kalani and Asuelu discovered she was
pregnant, because they weren't using protection, and Kalani freaked
out about how her life was ruined and took zero responsibility for
this happening. Then Asuelu said some romantic things and suddenly
she's sure she wants to get married. Eric decided that Tasha needed
to move out, and this is hard but it's what is best for Tasha. He
said Leida will leave the US if she's not happy, but Tasha won't, so
he has to please Leida. Tania (Eric's ex) spoke to Leida, and Leida
basically said she wasn't changing her mind and she didn't care if
none of the kids came to the wedding. Jonathan went to meet his
friend for drinks, and while there, Fernanda blew up his phone. When
he got home, she was very upset he ignored her, because she was
having a bad night and he was ignoring her. It sounds like she felt
really lonely, or possibly was having a bad night mental health-wise,
and Jonathan is all she has. At the same time, Jonathan felt he
couldn't go out for an hour without her demanding attention, and she
spends hours on the phone, not talking to him. They fought about his
“sacrifices” and left things in a bad spot.(click for more)
10
days left for Leida and Eric. Eric says he “doesn't feel good about
it”. I'm not sure what “it” is. Eric says that he needed to get
Tasha out of the apartment to please Leida. Now all the girls are
backing Tasha up and taking her side. Eric meets the three of them
for dinner, and says that if he doesn't marry Leida, he'll be alone
and he hopes they don't want that for him. I am sure they don't want
him to be alone, but they certainly don't want him with Leida. The
producers ask the youngest outside if she knows what is going on, and
I am pretty sure she's like, 11, so she gets it. She knows it's
because Tasha and Leida had a stupid argument about how Leida hates
mess. She also clearly is taking Tasha's side in the argument,
because hating mess doesn't mean you have to go on a rampage and kick
people out. Tasha spits at Eric that she has a place to stay, no
thanks to him, but she doesn't know how long she can stay there.
She's in a house with eight people. Eric tries to say he's sorry it
had to happen, but you can hear the “but” already, so Tasha
interrupts him to say he doesn't seem sorry about it. In her mind,
Eric is the one who actually kicked her out. Eric tries to argue that
she knew she was going to have to move out, she knew Leida and Alless
were coming. But does that justify how Leida treated her, and that
Eric “threw [her] to the street”? Eric gives up arguing, trying
to say “what's done is done” and then also claiming he had no
control over how it played out. But the oldest daughter knows that he
could have tried to prevent the whole thing, instead of just playing
clean-up afterwards. Tasha's still hung up on how Eric has been
telling them he can't take his daughters' side in anything because
Leida will blow up. He admits this is true, but argues that Tasha
forced him to choose. No, Leida forced you to choose. “Because
she's so petty that a room that didn't meet her standards meant she
had to go home to her own fucking country.” True. Eric wants Tasha
to take it easy, but she just responds that he's choosing Leida over
his daughters. Eric interviews that Leida is his last shot at love,
and he spent 20 years making decisions for the kids, and now he needs
to do it for himself. OK, yes, that's not a horrible argument. Except
for the part where Tasha is right, he's taking Leida's side over
them. Make decisions for yourself and not your kids, but you have to
also understand that your kids may not like that. You can't have it
both ways all the time. Anyway, Eric claims this is complicated but
he's not forcing his kids out of his life and he really wants them at
the wedding. He wants to get this settled before then. But they don't
want to go to the wedding. Tasha especially, because in her mind if
she goes, it means she's giving Leida permission to be a bitch all
the time, because there are no consequences and Tasha will still show
up. Eric asks her to at least reconsider, for him, but I doubt that
will happen. I'm not sure what the other two are doing. Eric thinks
they just need to be rational and they'll show up.
Time
for Steven's stupid ass. Oh, no, he's not here right now. Olga is
visiting her friend Anna from before. She reminds us that Steven
wants to take the baby, and who knows how long her visa would take.
Olga is glad her baby has American citizenship, but it's not right
for Steven to take the baby. Olga fills Anna in about everything, and
how she's afraid she'll never get a visa, and Steven will be able to
take the baby and leave her here alone. How is Steven going to work
and take care of the baby? He's too small to be without his mother?
Olga says every time she brings it up they fight, which she is also
worried about. Anna doesn't trust him, as she shouldn't. Did he even
apply for a visa at all? Good point. Olga looks shocked, and then
admits she's never seen any papers, Steven just told her he did it.
Anna thinks it's Steven's responsibility to find out if she can have
a visa or not, I guess because he's the sponsor? Olga kept asking him
and he would just tell her not to worry. So now Olga is worried that
she'll never get a visa, that maybe Steven didn't even apply, and he
just came here for the baby. I just have to say, during this whole
scene, Olga and Anna are making salad, and then eating it without
dressing, and it totally feels like they told them they couldn't just
hang out, they had to do something. Also the baby is not there.
2
days left for Kalani and Asuelu. They drive back to California for
the wedding. Kalani claims it's taken the whole 90 days to decide to
get married, because she's left out the part where it was all her
indecision and waffling. They're at another Airbnb. Kalani knows the
wedding is going to be on a boat, but since she's procrastinated so
much she has to do basically everything else in a couple of days. She
of course blames this on not knowing if she wants to get married, not
her avoidance of anything difficult. She claims to be happy to marry
him, but she also is not acting happy. She also hasn't told her
family she's pregnant (except for her mom). She told her mom it was
because they'd be disappointed in her, but she tells Asuelu it's
because they'll think he got her pregnant on purpose so she'd have to
marry him. Again, I get that the breastfeeding complicates some kinds
of birth control but don't act like you had zero say in having
unprotected sex. Asuelu is worried about the family, and in
confessional he basically parrots what Kalani is saying, that her
family doesn't like him and when they find out she's pregnant they'll
assume he did it to stay here. Is no one going to hold Kalani
accountable for her part in getting pregnant? Come on. Kalani doesn't
want to ruin the wedding by telling her family.
20
days left for Jonathan and Fernanda. They spent the night in separate
rooms and Jonathan says he hasn't spoken to her since yesterday. He
feels he's given her “every piece of me”. I noticed on the
flashback footage they conveniently left out the part of the fight
where Jonathan threw all the money he's spent in her face. Fernanda
went for a walk, because they probably needed to be alone for a
minute. She gets back home and they don't immediately start fighting
again. Fernanda interviews that Jonathan stayed out 45 minutes later
than he said he was going to, and he cannot do that. I agree that at
some point in the 10 texts or whatever that he could have explained
himself, but I don't really agree with how this is unacceptable. Shit
happens, you know? I don't know. Fernanda says this is the last
straw. Specifically, this is the drop of water that made the glass
overflow.
So
they sit on the couch, and she says she wrote him a letter, because
she doesn't want to get too emotional and screw up what she wants to
say. Jonathan is worried because that's not like her. The letter says
that she knows that every relationship has problems, and she knows
this is hard for Jonathan too. She doesn't want to give him the worst
of her. She's sorry, because the way she showed her feelings was
wrong, but she wanted him to see it her way. She just wanted to know
she's not alone. In confessional, Fernanda tells us that sometimes,
apologizing doesn't mean you lost, because if he wins, then she wins.
Jonathan says he understands why she's upset, he really does. It's
terrible she feels alone here, because he feels her happiness is her
responsibility. He's never had to support someone else and think
about another person's emotions, and he's sorry too. Fernanda
interviews that respect is so important, and that's why when Jonathan
fucks up she makes a huge deal about it, because he needs to
understand that can't happen again. They negotiate about his coming
home. Well, I thought they were going to, but Fernanda demands that
if she says “I need you, come home” that he drops everything and
comes home. Jonathan tries to ask if it's OK if he tells her where he
is, but no, he has to come home immediately, and then he agrees. I
don't think I agree? Because she's demanding all the power here? But
I guess that's between the two of them. Fernanda (in the dual
interview) claims she has a selective memory and only wants to keep
the good moments. Uh huh. But I think they both are glad to have had
this conversation. They still want to get married. Even though they
both admit to being crazy. See, I think they're in a good spot.
Wedding
day for Jay and Ashley. Jay grabs his tux and heads out to the venue.
Ashley will meet him there Jay thinks he's ready to get married. He
interviews a lot about being with someone you love, and then being
tied down. They don't have time to make everything perfect between
the two of them, because 90 days is not long enough. But he's come
too far to turn back now. Meanwhile Ashley has hired hair and makeup
people. She's actually taking this step that she's bailed on twice.
Now we are back to “Ashley runs from engagements”. It's not what
she dreamed of, so there's some sadness. She doesn't have anyone to
help her get ready, and this sucks. I mean you could have had your
friends come to Vegas, but sure. Jay has “given [her] some moments”
to make her doubt how faithful he is. But these moments make the
relationship “real” and I guess reinforce how much she wants to
get married. Her dress is pretty, but I think it's like secretly a
crop top? Ashley takes a limo to the venue.
Jay
is at the chapel, and he says that he doesn't think anyone is ready
to get married unless they're like, 50. Ashley “tamed” him and
made him want to get married. She's still harping on how she's alone,
and this isn't want she wanted, but sure. Her, Jay,...and Elvis.
Listen, when we went to Vegas this summer, some random guy asked if
Kmanpat and I were married (lol) and then said we could go to some
chapel and get married by a dolphin. And once we kept walking I said
“fuck that, if I'm getting married in Vegas it's Elvis or nothing”.
So I appreciate this a lot. Ashley opens the door and kind of peeks
in, and Jay doesn't grin or do anything really animated, but I think
he's about to cry. Ashley won't even really look at him, because I
think she's still pissed about being alone. Hilariously the Elvis is
still doing his thing even though no one is there but the two of them
and the camera crew. The vows include Elvis lyrics because of course.
OK...maybe that would be a problem. Ashley finally interviews that
she's excited to get married. Jay tells us in the dual interview that
all he knows is Jamaica, and it's a big deal to give up all he's ever
known for her, but he will. And now they're married! They ride back
in the limo, and Ashley still looks like she's very unhappy.
9
days left for Colt and Larissa. Colt claims it's been difficult for
him, personally, as if it's not difficult for anyone else. But
supposedly the past three days have been much better so he thinks
everything is fine now, because he's an idiot. But of course Larissa
and Mom haven't spoken for weeks, not since the barbecue. But since
the wedding is happening soon, Colt needs his mom and Larissa to
reconcile. Colt tells Mom about the dinner with his friends (Larissa
has gone upstairs) and he makes it sound like the fight with Larissa
was his test to see if she could be more patient. Or maybe it's just
his condescending bullshit again. So now after one night he's decided
he's making the right decisions and everything is fine. Except for
his mom hates Larissa. Mom just starts cleaning, and then says that
she doesn't know how to get along with Larissa, because Larissa just
fights on everything she says. Larissa said some nasty shit and Mom
is not sure she can forgive her. Fair. Colt of course just thought
they'd make amends, but I don't think this should all be on Mom's
shoulders. Mom agrees, that Larissa needs to apologize before
anything happens. Colt just wants to say he loves Larissa and wants
to marry her. I mean, he did agree that she needs to apologize, but I
think he really thinks he can just say “I want you to get along”
and magically everyone will get along. Mom doesn't know about that.
In confessional, she whispers, “She's a bitch” which I find
hilarious. She's been giving this interview in the living room, but
that's the part she doesn't want anyone to hear. Mom's response to
Colt's “I love Larissa and want to marry her” is “I don't know
if I want her in my family.” Colt claims that breaks his heart, but
there is no change in his facial expression or tone of voice. OK,
that's not true, because over his interview the shot of him and his
Mom looks like he's wiping his eyes. Colt never thought he'd have to
choose between his fiance and his mother, because: idiot, and now
he's very upset about it. If he can't get Larissa to apologize, then
he will have to choose between them. I feel like it's a giant red
flag that Larissa hasn't apologized on her own, but of course no one
has noticed that.
6
days left for Leida. She takes her son to her makeup trial
appointment. She's alone because her family and friends aren't here
and Eric's daughters don't like her. Like she would have invited his
daughters in the first place. Leida claims not to care that no one
would come with her. Leida describes what she wants, and then says
that she doesn't even know how to do her own makeup because back in
Indonesia she has a whole team of makeup artists and hairstylists to
do everything for her. This is accompanied with a light laugh and a
smirk, making it clear that she thinks we're all going to be
impressed with her nonchalance about having domestic help. The makeup
artist is asking her a million questions, which I am sure are
prompted. You can't talk while someone is doing your makeup, come on.
Leida claims that it's so nice to have someone to talk to, and again
tries to blame the daughters for not talking to her. She tells this
woman that her first marriage only lasted two years and that was
embarrassing. She only took seven days to fall in love with Eric. Uh
huh. But she's concerned about his three kids (so many kids) and
child support, and he has so much baggage. Maybe she should have
found someone without kids. She does doubt her decision, but now all
of a sudden “you can't find perfection”. The makeup artist says
you can, but everyone has flaws and that's why we love them. I
thought she was going to say you can find perfection but everyone's
definition of perfection is different, but I'm OK with this too. This
poor woman has to be on this dumb show and listen to all of Leida's
bitching, but she can't say she disagrees or she'll be out a client
and who knows how they'd spin it. Everything she says is very
diplomatic. After she says everyone loves people because of their
slight flaws, that actually shuts Leida up for a second. Is she ready
to get married? Well, this is it, after you get married then
everything is different. I find this interesting coming from someone
who is divorced already. You know? Leida still has so many doubts,
and she almost left. Like, a week ago. She needs six months to make a
decision. Leida does admit that Eric has been trying to prove to her
that she's his priority, but she's only 50/50 right now. Just make a
decision and quit wasting everyone's time.
Kalani
is getting married tomorrow. She has an insane list of things to do,
but it's time for a mani/pedi with her mom and sister, before her
bachelorette party. I was going to say that maybe if you have a
million things to do, don't waste time on nails, but I know that's
part of the things I do to get ready for events, so. Kalani doesn't
feel right with her sister not knowing she's pregnant. Kolini brings
up the last fight they had, because of course she does. Kalani says
they've talked through things and now she's got the old him back and
she's ready to get married. I think Kolini is still pissed but there
are a million reasons for her to be annoyed. She also won't tell
Kalani the plan for the bachelorette, and then asks if Kalani is
going to have one drink tonight. The producers make a giant deal
about everyone looking at each other, because of course she's not
going to drink, but Kolini is the only person here who doesn't know
why. Mom doesn't want Kolini to figure it out on her own, and then
get upset, and then ruin the wedding because she didn't have time to
process. Turns out the drama is because Kalani is still
breastfeeding, so she should either not drink or pump and dump. When
Kalani doesn't respond (come on, you have a perfect excuse not to
drink!), Kolini just sighs and says “Whatever” in an annoyed
tone. Kolini feels her sister isn't excited, but I think she's also
taking that personally. Plus I think the “bachelorette party” is
just the two of them, which is not really a party? Once Kolini
leaves, they discuss if Kalani is uncomfortable about all the talk
about drinking, and is she just going to spill the beans tonight
anyway? Kalani is worried that she doesn't have the greatest
relationship with her sister, and if she does tell her, it'll just be
one more thing for Kolini to hate Asuelu for. What if Kolini is so
mad at the two of them she refuses to go to the wedding? Kalani knows
she can't tell her at the wedding, so it has to be tonight. I mean,
it could be afterwards but sure.
I
think we actually have to deal with Steven's stupid ass this time.
Anna is watching the baby so Steven and Olga can take a walk in the
park and have alone time. Olga is worried Steven didn't even apply
for her visa at all. Steven sighs that hopefully Olga will be over
soon, and she responds that they don't know when she'll get her visa.
He basically doesn't respond. Steven interviews that he's been
thinking a lot about their relationship, and he wants to sit down and
talk some things out, because he has a secret. I find it interesting
that Steven suddenly is thinking of Olga, because the Steven we've
seen for the past few weeks has only thought of himself. And that
Steven wouldn't bother to tell Olga any secrets at all.
Anyway,
the secret is that when Steven told her he applied for her visa (he
says “last December” but I'm not sure how long ago that was),
that was a lie. Had he actually applied for the visa, she would have
been in the US a month ago. So all your whining about how shitty
Russia is, and it was all your fault? This is not the Steven we've
seen at all so I wonder who got through to him. Olga doesn't respond
at all. Steven didn't apply for the visa until he got to Russia. I
think he starts to give an excuse about why he didn't, but then he
just stops and says that he didn't, and “I know that it was very
wrong of me.” But he wants to be honest. I don't hear an apology,
and “I know it was wrong of me” smells like someone yelled at him
and he doesn't truly believe this obvious fact. Olga says he does
need to be honest, because she specifically asked him about it. He
has “no words” because it was his mistake. I know usually excuses
are obnoxious, but I honestly would like to know his logic. Was he
always planning to ditch her here? Or is he just an idiot? Eventually
Steven does start babbling, and it looks like he's claiming that
everything happened so fast, and they didn't know where their
relationship was going, so he held off because I guess he wasn't sure
he wanted to be with her. But he was convinced he needed to take his
child? So was that his initial plan, to not get the visa, but still
go to Russia and take the baby? Only apply for the visa if he liked
Olga enough? I would rather he was just a complete idiot who thought
he needed to be in the country to apply. He of course demands Olga
acknowledge his explanation, and she says she's still mad, because
why didn't he just say “maybe we need to wait” the first time?
Instead of lying? And now his son has citizenship so now what? Steven
says he “thought about it”, and he doesn't “want to be an ass”,
so the baby should stay for now. Olga breathes a huge sigh of relief
and it breaks my heart. Just, to know she was so worried.
Steven keeps talking about how it was his mistake and whatever, and
I'm even more convinced now that someone yelled at him. He called
home and his grandma or the family friend told him he was being an
asshole. I just don't see him as self-reflective enough to do a 180
by himself with no prompting. Either that or the embassy told him he
can't do it. Steven will miss his son, but it's the right thing to
do. He asks Olga to be patient and not give up on him, because he
really loves her. And then he actually gets down on one knee with an
actual ring to propose. Olga is so giggly that she says she doesn't
know which hand to use, and Steven says “Neither do I” and this
moment is so nice and Steven isn't an asshole for a brief moment.
Steven claims he's very relieved, and this is what they wanted. He
promises to be honest with her and keep up on the visa thing. I am
glad, it's just weird that out of nowhere, Steven is able to look at
his behavior and realize he's been an ass. There has to be outside
intervention.
It's
the day before Leida and Eric's wedding. They go for a walk in a
park, while Leida complains about bugs. Eric doesn't have time to fix
things, but he says Leida needs to accept his kids and know they're
part of the family. He has to start by telling her she's the
priority, but his kids are still part of his immediate family, and
this fight bothers him. Leida's reaction is that it wasn't her fault,
and Eric promises he doesn't blame her for it. Ugh. You can't take
sides and expect everyone to be fine with it. No matter what side you
take. Leida bitches that it will take time, so even though Eric wants
them to all get along it's not going to happen right away. Eric says
it's not always going to be so cut-and-dried, these fights. So
Leida's answer to that is “So are you choosing me, right now?”
All of Eric's language is how you speak to someone you are trying to
kiss up to, because you're terrified of their reaction and tantrums.
Because he was afraid of exactly this reaction. Then he asks Leida if
it would be a problem if Tasha showed up at the wedding. I don't
think this is going to happen, but sure. After Eric says she probably
would just sit there and not interact with Leida, Leida just says
“Well, I can always leave.” Then fucking leave already. Eric
knows this is emotional blackmail, and he claims in interview that he
can't get into a marriage with someone who does this. Except she's
been doing it this whole time so don't act like this is some boundary
you won't cross. Eric threatened to break up with her about the child
support, but now suddenly he is telling everyone he can't cross her
and he seems willing to piss off his kids. Eric says that once
they're married, they're married, so she can't keep threatening to up
and leave. She can, you're both divorced so you know how that works.
Leida says if Tasha shows up, then she's there, but she's not going
to talk to her. Leida then says she's choosing not to go back, she's
choosing to stay with Eric. That's not what you said thirty seconds
ago. She reminds Eric she's giving up “everything” to be with
him, and she expects the same thing, “and you are”. Leida is
choosing Eric over her family (the family she bitched about because
they were too overbearing), and Eric is choosing her over Tasha. So
she thanks him for that, because I guess we're all supposed to forget
she just threatened to leave. Leida interviews that so far he's made
good on some promises, but of course if this changes she'll leave
him. Can't be soon enough, honestly. Leida orders Eric to be happy
about being married, and then claims she's not going to leave him.
Oh, but that depends on him. If Eric keeps pissing her off, then
she'll walk away. So just don't do it. This bitch. Honestly if I were
Eric I would have bailed long ago. You can't tell your partner that
all your conflicts are all their fault and if they would just do what
you want, you'd have a great relationship. Shit doesn't work that
way. Eric tries to reason with her, saying that he told her in the
beginning that he would make mistakes or say the wrong thing. Leida
just says “don't do it” because of course she doesn't have to do
any work in this relationship because she's perfect. Eric, my dude,
there are worse things than being single. Leida has the gall to tell
Eric (in a very condescending tone) that they're in this together.
Oh, but the success of the marriage all depends on Eric not pissing
you off? Eric still thinks his daughters have to be part of this
family, except they don't. I wouldn't.
Larissa
and Colt's mother go to get their nails done. Larissa tells us that
Colt asked her to make up with his mother. She at least has enough
self-awareness to know that if she doesn't make up with Mom then Colt
will be against her. Also the pressure will be really hard. Boo hoo.
Mom is skeptical but she's willing to try. Larissa asks for natural,
but also glitter and a French manicure. The manicurist is very
chatty. Larissa admits they have some issues, and the woman working
on Mom says that one time she fought with her mother-in-law and then
that woman took her out to dinner. Hmm. They get along now, so it's
good. Larissa takes this as her cue to thank Mom for coming, and
apologize, because some of her behavior is not great. And sometimes
she's a bitch. Mom admits she can be a bitch too. Larissa says she
regrets some things she did, and this part does seem very sincere.
They both regret somethings they have done, but they both want what's
best for Colt. Larissa offers that they should be friends. Mom
believes the apology and is hoping they've figured out things. He's a
momma's boy (Mom answers this before Larissa can do it). Then Mom
says she's glad Colt's getting married, because it's about time. She
wasn't sure at first, but now she thinks they've worked through their
problems, and he loves her. Mom knows Colt is madly in love with
Larissa, so she hopes they work it out. Mom offers to always be there
for Larissa, and judging from Larissa's expression, she was not
expecting that. And I think she's touched. Mom then says she'll move
out because they need to just live by themselves, and Larissa
immediately says “No! You, you live in the same house.” Oh
really. I mean Mom asks her if she really means it and Larissa is
kind of like “yeah” but not very excited about it. Larissa tells
us that Colt asked her to get along with his mother and since Colt's
important to her, then Mom is also important. I wonder what Colt said
to her. Just like with Steven, Larissa doesn't seem like a person who
would do any kind of self-reflection and change her mind so far that
she's interviewing that she has a new family now.
Time
for Kalani's “bachelorette party”. This means she's wearing a
white dress and a veil. Oh, no, it's an actual party. I was wrong,
there's like 8 girls here. Of course we have penis balloons and
swizzle sticks and so forth. There is a lot of giggling and
discussing the hottest thing about Asuelu (of course his penis
because what else would be sexy). Of course Kalani is being super
weird because she feels she has to tell her sister she's pregnant at
some point. So she decides the best way to do this is when someone
asks if she's OK, to tell everyone she's really glad they're all
here, and she loves everyone, but she needs to steal her sister away
for a second. Subtle.
Kalani
thanks her sister for all the decorations because she's having so
much fun. And then she just says that she feels bad about how things
have been going, and they apparently agreed they'd be honest with
each other at some point, and then she admits she has been keeping
the secret from her sister that she's pregnant. Kolini says “No,
you're not” but then realizes she's serious. Then Kolini starts
crying, which forces Kalani to go hug her and apologize. Kalani knows
it's disappointing news and bad timing and she didn't want to keep
lying. Kolini says she doesn't want to do this and she walks off.
Kalani was hoping her sister would just be mad, but she's upset so
Kalani feels like she just ruined everything again. I'm not sure why
Kolini is making this about her, like, I don't think Kalani being
pregnant is a great idea, but it's not like she got pregnant to get
back at Kolini or something, you know? Eventually Kolini calms down
enough to say that Kalani is a grown ass woman, and then she gets
pregnant, when she has a seven month old and Asuelu can't work.
Kalani agrees and then Kolini bitches that she's sure Asuelu's stoked
because he doesn't get that they have to pay for a baby. OK well
whose fault is that then? Who should have explained to him how much
things cost in America and gone over a budget? Kolini then sighs that
it's always something. As I thought, Kolini is making this about her.
No one is asking her for anything, so her crying and being mad about
it is unreasonable. If you feel they're irresponsible, then don't
give them money or offer free babysitting. But “It's always
something” doesn't sound like worry for her sister's finances, it
sounds like she resents Kalani for being unwed, being broke,
whatever, and she's predicting this new baby will become her problem
and she's mad. Kolini walks off and some other girl from the party
appears to give her a hug. Kolini whines that this isn't how it's
supposed to be, and having “this” happen the day before the
wedding is terrible. Fair, but I think we all know that had Kalani
waited to tell her she'd be pissed about that. And of course Kolini
thinks Asuelu did it on purpose to force Kalani to get married. So
even though they went to have girl time, and Kolini planned this
party for her sister, she doesn't trust Asuelu and doesn't think she
should get married. OK then why did you plan an bachelorette party?
Why are you going to be in the wedding? (You know she is.) Don't act
like you didn't just change your mind in the last five minutes.
Kolini is crying and now the whole party is comforting her in the
bathroom, and finding out that Kalani's pregnant, while Kalani stands
around at her own party, alone. I know I said that this was a dumb
way to do this, but Kalani is the one with the secrets, and not one
person has come over to find out how the star of the party is doing.
They were all busy comforting her sister.
Kolini
deigns to come back and sit with Kalani and I guess talk. Or
complain, who knows. Kalani apologizes for making her sister upset.
She thinks that every time Kolini is coming around to the idea of
Asuelu, something happens to piss her off. OK well why is there so
much drama here, you know? Kolini agrees, because is no one going to
give Kalani any fucking blame for getting pregnant? Not anything. If
you think she had no say in the matter, then go to the police and
report him. Kalani can choose to not have sex, and she can insist on
having protection, and if she can't do that then you have bigger
problems. Like, get the police involved legal problems. But knowing
she treats him like he's a child and she's so condescending about how
stupid he is, I cannot believe if she said she didn't want to have
unprotected sex, that Asuelu would force her to. Not even that he
would talk her into it. Kalani says that she is going to marry
Asuelu, and she's sorry her sister is upset but hopefully they can
enjoy the day tomorrow. Kolini just says “whatever”. You know, if
you didn't leave all your important conversations until the night
before shit was about to happen, they might be a little more
successful. Kolini doesn't want to see Asuelu, and says she's going
to remind her sister she can back out. On her wedding day.
Back
to Ashley and Jay. A week after the wedding, the cameras are here and
there is some “shaky” footage to act like the camera crew has
been woken up to drive over here. A producer asks Ashley what's been
going on. She says someone was FaceTiming Jay at like, midnight, and
it was a girl's name. He claimed it was about a tattoo, which doesn't
make sense. Jay kept denying everything so Ashley finally messaged
the girl, asking why are you calling my husband at midnight? And the
girl responded, who, the Jamaican guy I met on Tinder? The girl then
said that Jay never told her he was married, claimed he was visiting
family, and wanted to hook up this weekend. Oh, no, I'm so shocked. I
hope she tries to go back to Natalie and Natalie just says I FUCKING
TOLD YOU SO and blocks her. You had every warning and you chose to
ignore all of them. Anyway, Jay's been on Tinder. She confronted Jay,
and told him that this girl was sending her screenshots. So he could
either come clean, or if they were real he's out on his ass. He
apparently admitted to being on Tinder, and then Ashley told him they
were done. Then he “punched a hole in the wall”, which is an
exaggeration. You can see someone punched the wall but there is no
hole. Ashley tells the producer that she doesn't know if Jay actually
slept with her, all she knows is he admitted to being on Tinder and
talking to people and that's enough. He created the account the day
they got home from Vegas. Yikes. Ashley says “Everything that I
have done for him? And this is how he treats me?” I mean...what
have you done for him? Not that I think he is justified at all.
Ashley doesn't know how you can go to bed at night, treating someone
so poorly. But you thought he was doing that in Jamaica and you
didn't care? Now it's that she did so much for him, but there is no
discussion of love. Ashley then says that the signs were there and
she ignored them, so ultimately it's her fault. Well at least she
knows that. She should have known better. Oh but the story continues
because this bitch went straight to Natalie's house. You know, the
woman she has been ignoring, who she cut out of her wedding and her
life, who she shittalked constantly. Natalie told her she knew it was
a matter of time. So “maybe she was right”. Gee, you think?! I
really hope that conversation with Natalie came with a million
apologies. I still think Natalie should have reminded Ashley she said
their relationship was over and shut the door in her face.
Ashley
then says she can't even kick Jay out of her house, because she's
responsible for him for ten years. She just wants to take back the
relationship, because if he was on Tinder this soon, then he's been
doing it this whole time. He told Ashley he was bored. Then Jay comes
home. He sits on the end table next to Ashley, because I'm sure he
knows what's up. He asks if she wants to talk about it.
Next
time: Steven leaves without his son, as it should be, Eric's kids may
not show up to his wedding, Fernanda is sad her family isn't here,
Kalani makes sure not to tell her dad she's pregnant, Colt calls the
police on Larissa and the state pressed charges, Jay says he's not
going anywhere without the police backing Ashley up. I think next
episode is the last one of the season, and then there are two
“tell-all” episodes, like reunion episodes. I think I'm going to
try to do the two reunion episodes together.
