to Leg 6! Last time, on Slider
Puzzles Can Be Hazardous to Racing,
8 teams raced from Saint-Tropez to Les Baux. There was a lot of
medieval device building, and fake bull fighting. In the end, Lucas
and Brittany managed to pull off a first place finish and Lucas
finally popped the question after nine years of dating. Team Chomp,
who couldn’t open a slider puzzle, were eliminated. Who will be

Teams
land at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport and make their way
to the Rudolfinum. They arrive in the following order:

When
they arrive, teams find the U-Turn. (Toyouke: “Shouldn't the
U-Turn be AFTER the Detour?”)
This
is a Double U-Turn. Teams may choose to U-turn any team they wish
(well, the team has to be behind them), but they may only use the
U-Turn once during the race. If a team is U-turned, they must go back
to the Detour choices and complete the Detour that they did not
complete. This U-Turn is doubled, meaning two teams may U-Turn two
other teams. Phil, during his explanation, does not say how many
U-Turns there will be on this race.

Teams
open their clues after the U-Turn, and we get the Detour Clue.
DETOUR:

Teams must travel to Staropramen Brewery. Once there, they must
unstack and restack a pyramid of empty beer kegs. During the
unstacking process, they will find a full keg. They must tap the keg
and pour a perfect mug of beer, which is approved by the brewmaster.
Then teams must travel to the Fidelio Party Boat on the Vltava River
and deliver an untapped keg to get their next clue.
*That:
Teams travel to Charles University and listen to a lecture over the
argument of whether the earth is flat or round. After the lecture,
they must take an eight question oral quiz over the material and get
a perfect score in order to receive their clue from the proctor.
(Toyouke:
“What. You
are giving equal time to flat earth truthers!? This Detour choice is
terrible and I know you made it blind because otherwise no one will
pick this one. EVERYONE will do beer. Do a better job of challenge
design and then you don't have to have a stupid blind Detour. I mean
I have a science degree and I would never pick this stupid Copernicus
Detour option.”)

they rip open the clue, teams get the sixth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Hello,
hello, hello?
In
this roadblock, a Switchback to TAR15, one team member must enter a
room of ringing telephones and find the eight phones that are
speaking a word on the other end. Roadblockers must then fill out a
form and provide the eight word Kafka quote that is the rearrangement
of the words (“The meaning of life is that it stops.”). Once
correct, the roadblocker will get their next clue.
(Toyouke:
“I feel
this Switchback is here because someone wanted very badly for the NBA
team to be here to redeem basketball players everywhere. And then
they made it harder and then it backfired anyway.”)
The

“I'm

“Suspicious. Hmm. OK first of all Brittany, if you think she deliberately

are you working with her again? Second...that was a dick move, but
it's a RACE. And she was more helpful than the last time this Roadblock happened and the hint was "It starts with F". I don't like alliances and every time it happens you
run this risk. For you to be so dependent on someone WHEN YOU THINK
THEY SCREWED YOU ONCE BEFORE just seems so dumb to me.”)
