to Leg 4! Last time, on Why
Do the Gnomes Get To Zip Line and I Don’t?,
9 teams raced from Belgium to Morocco. Mistakes were made! Cedric
and Shawn got tired. Yale and Indy ran to the Pit Stop and Yale
placed first. And then Slam Dunk strolled into the Pit Stop, but
found it was the first of the three pre-determined non-elimination
legs, so they were still in the race. Who will be eliminated. . .

Sailing School Water Company de Saint -Tropez to get your next clue.

and Evan get a chance to look at their trip on Travelocity from the
last leg. (Toyouke: “I
mean, other teams think you're not a physical threat because of the
head-to-head. But you did come in first last leg, that's true.”)

at navigation and also knowing what they're doing.”)
Teams
arrive, and Cedric and Shawn find their Speed Bump.
SPEED
BUMP:
A
Speed Bump is a task that must be performed by the last place team on
a non-elimination leg when the non-elimination leg is not immediately
followed by the next leg. Once they complete this task, they may
return to the place where the Speed Bump occurred and continue the
leg. In this speed bump, the team must walk along the beach
collecting Optimist dinghies and stacking them on a rack in numerical
order. Once complete, teams may continue the race from where they
left off.
Teams
complete the Speed Bump in the following order:
1-

(Toyouke:
“This
Speed Bump seems kind of unfair. You'd go into the Roadblock
exhausted and that can't be good for sailing.”) After
much boat stacking, they continue with the rest of the teams.
When
they rip open the clue, teams get the fourth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who’s
ready to break wind?
In
this roadblock, one team member must attach a sail to an Optimist
dinghy, and then sail across the bay with no lesson. Once in the
bay, roadblockers had to navigate to two buoys, each with one half of
the clue. Once they had both halves, they could return to their
partners and read the clue.
The

DETOUR:
Bread
OR Tread
*Bread:
Teams must travel La Tarte Tropezienne and make baguettes to the
satisfaction of a baker. Once 50 baguettes had been shaped from 30
pounds of dough correctly, the baker will give them their next clue.
*Tread:
Teams travel to Sandales Tropeziennes and each make a Tropez sandal.
Once both sandals were made to the satisfaction of the sandal maker,
he would give them their next clue.
(Toyouke:
“I
can't decide if this Detour has one obvious choice. That probably
means it's well designed, right?”)

teams will compete in the second Head to Head! Teams arrive in the

HEAD-TO-HEAD
In
this Head to Head, teams must play the French game of pétanque.
Each team member throws three balls toward a target, known as a jack.
The team that is closest at the end of 12 balls or when one team
runs out of balls it the winner. The winner moves on to the next
task. The loser stays behind to compete until they win. Teams
compete together in this head to head.
(Toyouke:
“Did
you put the head-to-head here because the sailing is so ridiculous?
So it wouldn't matter? And AGAIN with having it right before the Pit
Stop! I hate this. At least it's not physical. Still BS though.”)
Teams
compete in the Head to Head in the following order:

IndyCar wins the match.

Kristi/Jen VS Cody/Jessica
– Big Brother wins the match.
3)
Kristi/Jen VS Trevor/Chris –
Extreme Ski wins, after three tries.

Trevor/Chris VS Joey/Tim –
Chomp wins.
5)
Trevor/Chris VS Lucas/Brittany –
and Well Strung wins on their third try.
6)
Lucas/Brittany VS Henry/Evan –
Team Yale wins.

The firefighters win.

Teams
find now that they must travel by foot down the Place de Lices, the
PIT STOP of the fourth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team
to arrive MAY be eliminated!
