to Leg 3! Last time, on Belgians
Totally Run Around in French Fry Costumes,
10 teams raced from Iceland to Belgium. Slam Dunk rebounded, and
Cody and Jessica managed to win the leg as part of the first Head to
Head competition. Team Yale was almost eliminated as they couldn’t
figure out how to win the head to head race, but it was Goat Yoga who
ended up failing. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Clue:
Travel to Tangier, Morocco! First take the train back to Amsterdam
and catch your flight to Tangier. Once there, make your way to
Medina Fish Port, and find a marked crate of fish. Once a bin had
been properly filled with fish for the fisherman to take them to
market, he would give them their next clue.

Once
there, teams all make it on the flight to Tangier ibn Battouta
Airport. Teams arrive in Tangier in the following order:

So
teams now make their way by taxi to Medina Fish Port. There is much
figuring out what language to speak, and two teams speak Arabic! So
they arrive in the following order:

is much fish sorting, and teams get their clues in the following

Teams
are now instructed to travel to Kisariate Jbala Souk and greet the
merchant there with a traditional Arabic greeting, “As-salam
Alaykum”. Teams would then get the Travelocity Roaming Gnome and
their next clue. Teams arrive at the souk in the following order:

Joey/Tim – who actually
found it first and walked in, but completely missed the guy sitting
with the gnomes. So they left. (Toyouke: "...sigh")
When
they rip open the clue, teams get the third roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who’s
ready to rock the kasbah?
In
this roadblock, one team member must take their gnome on an
adventurous tour of Tangier. Roadblockers first make their way on
foot to the roof of the American Legation Museum, where the
Travelocity Roaming Gnome would zip-line over the city to another
rooftop. Roadblockers then had to run through the city streets to
find the roof where the Roaming Gnome landed. When they found the
gnome, they were instructed to travel to the Kasbah Museum, where
they would perform the same task. After finding the gnome for a
second time, roadblockers were instructed to find a payphone at a
Tele Boutique. Once there, roadblockers had to use the coins in the
gnome's pouch to operate the phone and would listen to the Arabic
phrase for Good Morning, “Sabah al-khair”. After reiterating
this phrase to the shopkeeper, he would hand them their next clue.
Roadblockers then had to return to their partner back in the
Kisariate Jbala Souk, where they could open their next clue.
(Toyouke: "Honestly why is this so freaking complicated?!")
The

Cedric – who manages to get
ahead of the pack, but starts losing steam while climbing all the
stairs.

Brittany – who teams up with
Jessica near the Tele Boutique. She hands Jessica her gnome while
she uses the phone, but gets flustered and rather than pick up the
gnome, gets her clue and takes off. So she has to go back to the
Tele Boutique to retrieve the gnome. (Toyouke: "Technically Jessica said 'Let me hold that for you' and took it from her, but she certainly didn't hide it.")

After
much gnome following, teams complete the Roadblock in the following

DETOUR:
Drop
It Off OR Shake It Off
*Drop
It Off: Teams must travel to the Grand Socco and find a food
wholeslers truck to pick up crates of squash, chickens, and oranges.
Teams must use the traditional method of dragging crates along the
ground to deliver the food to three locations (squash to Bab Kasbah,
chickens to Marhaba Palace Restaurant, and oranges to Bab el-Assa),
where they would receive a receipt stamped with one of the three
words in the name of the Pit Stop. Once they completed all three
deliveries, teams return to the food wholesaler, who would give them
their next clue.
*Shake
It Off: Teams travel to Manounia Palace Restaurant and put on
traditional belly dancer clothing. Once there, they had to wander
through the restaurant and find three objects with the three words
that form the Pit Stop on them. Once the words had been collected
correctly and recited to the host, he would give them their next
clue.

clues they found in the Detour, the PIT STOP of the third leg of this
racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive MAY be eliminated!
