Welcome back to Leg 3! Last time, on I Miss Airport Drama, 11 teams raced from Thailand to Vietnam. Teams had to get their own flights, and this resulted in airline delays and secret flights being discovered. The sisters played their Express Pass at the floating market, and then struggled to maintain their lead. Team Texas lucked out by snagging one of the earliest departure times for the floating market, and made their way into first place, while the brothers ended up, and I quote Phil, “dead last”. But they were told to keep racing! So Leg 3 continues. . . I think. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

So teams make their way to Café Tu Diec. Teams arrive and talk to the barista in the following order:

Teams open their clues and we get the fourth Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Stand OR Deliver
*Stand: Teams make their way on foot to Cho Tan An and find the marked stall to properly set up a seafood stand in the busy market. Teams must collect the correct seafood from the marked stall and then properly arrange it. Once approved by the proctor, teams get their next clue.
*Deliver: Teams make their way on foot to Nha Hang Riverside and find the marked mattress truck. Teams then must carry 4 66 pound mattresses to the West Hotel and up three flights of stairs to a specific room. Once delivered, housekeeping will verify and give teams their next clue.
(Toyouke: “I feel like the language barrier is going to be important for both these tasks. And at this point just let them use the elevator.”)
1- Steve/Anna Leigh choose Stand
2- Joel/Garrett choose Deliver – and Garrett takes a page out of Todd’s playbook when he asks to get his next mattress first but will guide the teams to the hotel. (Toyouke: “He's right, they're just going to follow anyway and you can't waste time going to the wrong place.”)
3- Todd/Ashlie choose Deliver – and Ashlie thinks she broke her finger during the task.
4- Rob/Corey choose Deliver – and Corey injures his foot on the stairs. (Toyouke: “Let's compare and contrast Rob saying, "Are you OK?! Is your foot OK?" vs. Todd saying, "I've broken my finger before, you'll be fine.””)
5- Robbin/Chelsea choose Stand
6- Morgan/Lena choose Stand
7- Greg/John choose Stand
8- Andrea/Malaina choose Stand
9- Joe/Ian choose Deliver– and try two at a time, but that doesn’t work well.
10- Jocelyn/Victor choose Stand – and get yet another task in their wheelhouse.
11- Liam/Yeremi choose Deliver – and use the two at a time technique to a good degree of success.
Much fish stand building and mattress carrying ensues. (Toyouke: “I also love that the best route to the hotel runs by the fish stand. And this lady at the fish market is too excited.”) So, teams complete the detour in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to make their way to Ong Pagoda in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive in the following order:

5- Robbin/Chelsea
6- Greg/John
7- Joe/Ian
8- Morgan/Lena
9- Liam/Yeremi

Teams are instructed to ask for a wish card at the counter from the attendant, write a wish on the card, and wait while the attendant places the wish in the temple. Once complete, teams get their clue instructing them to travel by taxi to Hung King Temple in order to get their next clue. Teams arrive at the temple in the following order:
1- Steve/Anna Leigh
2- Joel/Garrett
3- Todd/Ashlie – (Toyouke: “Oh please you did not wish for "world peace" you're lying to make yourself look better.”)
4- Rob/Corey
5- Robbin/Chelsea
6- Joe/Ian

10- Jocelyn/Victor
11- Angela/Malaina
When they rip open the clue, teams get the third roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who wants to play matchmaker?
In this roadblock, one team member must take the provided photo in the clue and find the matching tile in the temple complex amid the hundreds that exist. Once approved by the docent, teams may proceed to the Pit Stop.
(Toyouke: “BOO Swedish roulette at the end of a double leg with no chance to change standing before the Pit Stop? Terrible.”)
The following teammates take the Roadblock:

Teams are now instructed to run to the center of Jung King Temple, the PIT STOP of the third leg leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive WILL be eliminated!

And Jocelyn and Victor are sadly eliminated. They thought it was great to do this just the two of them, and they have no regrets. I’m going to miss them.
