Project Runway 10/14/21--"A Colorful Return" summary

Previously on “Project Runway”: it's been quite a while since the last season. Also you may have heard Karlie isn't going to be a full-time host, but I think she has scheduling conflicts. Not that she got fired or something. Other than that I have no idea what's going on this season so let's start. (click for more)

We start with a montage of stuff and people's confessionals about how much this means and whatever. It's pretty standard. But then they do introduce Christian, Elaine, Brandon, and Nina. I don't think I like this new intro. They've made it more like Top Chef, but I liked just having the theme music and graphics. I mean we don't have to go back to the dumb sound bites, but...eh. Same prizes as before, looks like.

Everyone makes their way to the courtyard at the Lincoln Center, where the judges and Christian are waiting for them. The judges are carefully spaced which is weird because the contestants are not. Also Karlie is not here yet. We talk for a while about the revival of New York, and how the green space is about the power of color. I guess one color still counts as color, but if you were going to do art about color then why isn't there more than one color, you know? Anyway, the models come out from behind the fountain with actual color and everyone claps politely. I think we all know about color. Who will be the first to whine about how they don't use color?

For the first challenge they have to split into two teams, to make a “cohesive collection” where each outfit is monochromatic. That means not only using color, but a single color. They alternate who is on what team, so I guess it's random? It's probably too early to really interfere with this. Team Warm is Shantall, Octavio, Bones, Prajje, Kenneth, Darren, Aaron, and Coral. Team Cool is Anna, Meg, Zayden, Sabrina, Chasity, Kristina, Katie, and Caycee. Each team gets one half of the color wheel, and they have to each pick one of the colors. Two day challenge. Also Christian says that they don't want anyone to worry about what the other team is doing, so Team Warm will work days and Team Cool will work nights. Interesting. Is this because they don't have the space for everyone to work at the same time and remain distanced?

Katie interviews that making a cohesive collection when you can't borrow colors from each other is going to be difficult. Team Warm grabs whatever model card (just pick one at this point), and then starts trying to agree on who gets what color. Honestly they seem to agree quickly without a ton of arguing. Aaron says he is always surrounded by drag queens and that's his aesthetic. Hey, it's an aesthetic. He grew up in a small town in West Virginia with all associated stereotypes. Shantall describes her style as “70s, 80s, 90s, evening, sophisticated, a little sexy, less is better.” The team each sketches individually and then starts to work on things like, do we have too many pairs of pants and not enough people doing dresses? Aaron asks about hardware, because that would be a way to be cohesive. Prajje declares his drama candidacy by saying that it's bullshit to be cohesive to the point of losing your designs. So it sounds like foreshadowing that he's going to do whatever he wants and not fit the rest of the collection. Spoiler: the judges will not care about the cohesiveness of either collection because it does not feed the drama they would like for ratings.

Team Cool starts with Meg asking who else is comfortable designing for plus-sized women, because they have two of the plus-sized models. Meg is comfortable because “I'm a juicy bitch”. Honestly if it prevents an hour of someone whining they don't know how to design for a larger person then this strategy is a great idea. Meg is very confident in how awesome she is but it comes off as confidence and not arrogance, at least in my opinion. Caycee very reluctantly says she made a plus-sized garment one time, and Meg insists she will help out. In confessional she claims to be excited but that's not really the vibe I got from her. See in contrast to Meg, she says her designs are gender-fluid because she's all about “breaking boxes” and it makes me roll my eyes a little bit. It might be residual eye-rolling left over from how she's spelling her name. They all agree on colors, and then discuss theme and design details. Kristina suggests flowers, as symbols of rebirth or whatever. Zayden executes a perfect slow eye-roll, and then in confessional says he was brought up by strong women, and so being the only man on this team he has decided to play it safe and not piss anyone off. Out of nowhere people start talking about bows. Zayden still looks confused, because bows and flowers are different. Seriously every time they show a shot of him he looks like they're not speaking English and he's concentrating with all his might to understand.

Team Warm thinks maybe they should have a theme of going to dinner. In a post-Covid way. Shantall reminds everyone that they might get to Mood and find out that the fabric is not what they planned on and they have to change everything on the fly. The team agrees that they should spend some time shopping on their own, but leave enough time at the end so they can meet as a team and make sure their things go together. Meanwhile Team Cool heads to their house to hang out. We're back to townhomes with multiple people in each room and everything. Sounds like the two teams each get a floor to themselves. At least one floor.

Shopping is 45 minutes and $400. That's a lot. Bones is going to make a jumpsuit, which looks pretty cool. It's very strange to see everyone running around unmasked while the poor worker has both a mask and faceshield. I am sure that all the contestants and crew and whoever is there have all been tested and/or vaccinated, but it seems so rude? Christian roasts Darren for having too many things. He says he wants his clients to feel like rockstars. Then he tells Christian he's cute and asks if he's single. Christian just walks away as he talks and then says “I'm too old for this”. Chill, Darren. Also, “I'm too old for this” this bitch is 35. Bones starts freaking out because he thought they were all going to meet and talk about fabrics. Except that several people...just didn't do that and have cut everything already.

I guess the workroom is more spaced out? Team Warm immediately has a team meeting to brainstorm. Their theme is “Dinner and a Show” which honestly is not a terrible theme. Especially if they spin it as “we have been starved for human contact for a year and we are celebrating normal things” which is what their plan sounded like. Darren gushes about Kenneth and Octavio and how amazing they are. Octavio is very avant-garde. Shantall reveals she was on “Project Runway: Latin America” and she came in third! What an advantage. Bones struggles with the sewing machine. His background is dance, and he says he has been on Broadway. Then he hollers at the general room that they need to have stuff done before Christian shows up.

Team Cool does their shopping. We see that Zayden is still wondering how they agreed to do flowers and then suddenly everyone wanted to make bows. Meg says she's doing a flower. That is all for their shopping.

Christian comes in when Team Warm has two hours left in the day. Darren describes his look which sounds like a full skirt made entirely out of sequined fabric. Christian gently tells him that it might be a lot, and it might stand out too much from the group. Does the group know what you're doing? Darren says no one else is doing anything similar, which you'll notice doesn't quite answer the question. No sparkles at all. Hmm. Kenneth has a crop top and skirt so far. He and Shantall explain the theme to Christian, who confirms they're all kind of doing a more evening look. Hey at least if they are all doing evening it'll go together. Shantall has some leather, and I thought she was just making a belt, but maybe she's making the suit out of it? Christian says it's very chaotic right now. Not in the sense of people flailing but having leather in only one look and sequins in only one look and then a crop top somewhere else is not really that cohesive. Maybe Shantall could change a little bit. She admits there's no leader.

Octavio has some dramatic oversized pants. Seriously, Christian takes the piece of fabric and holds it up to his chin, and it covers his entire body. Bones has pants, and he says he'll tell Christian how the theme goes together. When a group of girls all goes out, they don't all wear the same thing. That's true, but there still isn't a cohesive idea yet. Bones thinks they're all doing their own thing, but with a unified concept. He denies being a leader, because they're all responsible for their own outfit. Christian tells the room that they have good ideas, but it's not quite a collection yet. Once he leaves, Bones tells everyone to put their mannequins together so they can look at everything all at once. Well, everything they have anyway. He thinks it looks cohesive, and also they should hide their stuff so Team Cool won't ruin it. I mean...do we think people on this show would stoop that low? I guess they might.

The two teams pass each other and wave from across the courtyard. Meg immediately says she wants to know what Team Warm is doing, but she has nothing. They didn't even try to hide the stuff very well. It's a big collection of dress forms behind a very obvious screen in the corner. Unless production moved everything. Actually I wonder if they did, just in case. Meg pins some kind of weird lumps onto the ass of her dressform. They look like eyes or something. Caycee starts talking about classic movies and how she's making a trench coat, I think. Sometimes she has too many ideas. Meg gushes about how she loves all this, and Katie says she can't talk, she has to focus. To be fair, Meg does stop bothering her. Chasity asks the room if anyone is doing cutouts or showing skin in some way. The way it's edited makes it look like no one even acknowledges her to say “no”. She doesn't want to be the only one doing something and then get called out for not fitting in with the group. She then asks if anyone is doing a bow, and someone actually answers her and says they are, and then they cut to the sketches and the chyron says the theme is “Put a Bow On It”. OK but what happened to flowers? Sabrina is the one telling everyone in confessional that's the theme. She wants to make a giant bow, and her sketch looks like Sailor Moon. Chasity and Katie bond about how their kids are unimpressed with them.

Christian shows up and Chasity ducks under a table. Kristina is wearing her muslin, which at the moment is a ruffled collar, like an Elizabethan ruff, and then a long shapeless sack. Christian tries to talk to her but she doesn't even register that he's speaking to her specifically. Eventually she shows him the bows and whatever that she's going to do. It's interesting, but then he asks if everyone is doing bows, as if her look is too weird unless everyone is doing it. Kristina says that everyone is doing bows in some way, and then Christian is like “Oh that's OK then.” Hmm. Zayden looks irritated. But what is the reason for bows? Crickets. Sabrina eventually says their client has been in lockdown for too long and now she's going to Costco and looking fabulous. Christian kind of sighs and says they could aim a little higher than that probably. Heh. Sabrina then announces that she needs everyone to know Costco was a joke. Chasity gets generally good praise. Caycee has a ruffled coatdress. Not even a bow? Team Cool needs to lock in their story and maybe that will help everyone. Sabrina has a bunch of fabrics that might not go together. Christian wants to know what is going on with this bow. Sabrina says that “as a team” they decided their design detail would be a bow. I listened to it multiple times and I'm pretty sure that's the phrase she used. But no one necessarily really likes bows? Guess not. Christian reminds the team that they need a cohesive story for when the judges talk to them about why they have bows on everything. No one was really able to give him a good answer.

After Christian leaves, Zayden says they need to have a conversation about who their client is and where she is going and all of those things that Nina and Brandon are sure to ask about. Meg says it's discouraging they're having this conversation halfway through the work time. Everyone just kind of yells about their ideas, this girl is going to the opera, well mine is going to an art gallery, well maybe this is the outfit for hanging out before the art gallery, blah blah. No decisions are being made. Meg says she has her fabric cut, but she doesn't want to start sewing until they figure this out in case she has to change direction. Sabrina tells everyone they're doing beautiful things and they are also overcomplicating things. They're overthinking the theme. Immediate cut to her explaining how when her family fled Afghanistan, she had to survive and that means pleasing others. Huh? I'm not sure how fleeing war has lead to telling the room that they don't need to decide on a theme. People are sort of all doing eveningwear? This is not going well. Caycee still has too many ideas, and now everyone is trying to help her with more. I think she gets it together.

Kristina pushes a chair in at one sewing machine, and then practically runs over to where Chasity is to tell her that she really likes using the same machine all the time. Chasity says that she already changed everything on it, as the cameras capture Zayden carefully not looking at them but listening with his whole body. I think Kristina tries to argue that she had to change out everything when she used it the first time? I guess? Chasity needs time to work on her own clothes, and in the middle of this sentence Kristina interrupts to say “Sorry I'm not gonna spend more time on this”. Then she walks off, back to the machine where she pushed in the chair, and sits down and starts working. What? Chasity looks very confused and asks what just happened. Zayden starts laughing because he was so busy being nosy he sewed something on backwards. Chasity says that's what you get, as I think Zayden might be one of my favorites.

Day 2. Team Warm discusses Christian's critiques, and Shantall says that they need one person to speak for them on the runway, and she thinks it should be Bones. I mean it's not a terrible idea to have a spokesperson. They all agree and Bones isn't that upset about it. 7 hours to work. Someone declares that they are for sure going to be done on time. Christian returns with the models. Darren has put his model in a tube top and a bubble skirt over a regular A-line skirt. Some of the gold is shiny and some is not. Christian is very worried. The top looks cheap. Everyone gets something on their model and they line them up. Bones says he loves everything in this room and Christian makes a face. There is a little back and forth about how Christian is sure he doesn't love EVERYTHING and Bones says no, he totally does. Then Bones says to the group not to let anyone else's outside opinions distract them. Hmm. Christian makes another face and then asks what exactly he means by “outside opinions”. Do you mean mine? Bones flat out says yeah, Christian's opinions. Oof. Christian says he's here to help them, but if they don't want his opinions he doesn't need to give them. Bones's logic is that they need to make decisions as a team? Prajje knows Bones is being rude and I think he is a little shocked. Christian says sure, OK, first of all every single one of these looks has problems, so work on that before you don't want my opinions. A couple of people raise their hands and say they do want opinions, but it looks like Christian leaves.

Aaron, Prajje, and Bones go out for a smoke break, where Aaron says that when Bones acts like that it reflects on their whole team. He'd love to hear what Christian has to say, but they wasted time arguing about respect. Bones claims to understand this, but Prajje interrupts him to say that Christian is the most successful designer to ever come out of this show (probably true) and when he has something to say, you should shut up and listen. This could take the whole team down. Bones wants to go home for his own opinions, not Christian's. Prajje can't believe Bones wouldn't listen to the professional in the room, but Bones is already over it so they all go back inside without really resolving anything. Darren is pleating a skirt, but he's still freaking out because Christian told him his look was the worst.

Back at the townhouse Caycee is meditating with Chasity and Meg is on the other bed in the room crying. I have no idea. She does at least leave, because you know there are people who would stay there and cry until they got some attention. Chasity goes after her eventually and Meg says she misses her mom, who passed away two years ago. Mom was her biggest supporter and she's not around for this challenge. Aww.

The teams pass each other, but at least we can see this time the workroom has been left a mess. Christian shows up for Team Cool with their models. This team, of course, would love to know what Christian has to say but he doesn't seem to be nearly as concerned with these outfits. Sabrina's top is basically a bow covering her chest like a bikini top. Chasity has so many ideas and she keeps saying her dress is bad when it's not. Caycee has a weird flap of shiny fabric over her model's boob, and she says it's like a trench coat. So I guess how a classic trench coat would not be a solid one piece but have almost a peplum-like flap over the chest that hangs away from the bottom of the coat? Christian doesn't like it but Caycee seems to love it. Christian tells her to edit. Honestly she has one of the plus-sized models and she looks like she made a big oversized coat and slapped a belt on. The team finally puts their models together, and Christian asks where they're all going and what are they doing? Immediately everyone starts talking over each other but the best they can do is “some art thing”. He is nervous. Plus there are a lot of things not finished. Can they bring anything to make it cohesive? Kristina thinks the only way to do that now is the bows.

Everyone tries to put bows in such a way that they don't look childish. Meg complains in confessional that she's not putting a bow on her garment, her team will get the look she originally designed and that she bought fabric for. On the one hand, it did seem like some people wanted bows and they decided that was the theme without letting everyone know about it, but on the other hand, I wonder if Meg has told the rest of her team that she's refusing to participate in the theme. Or if they're going to find out on the runway.

Runway Day. Team Cool discusses how the other team is full of boys so surely there are no PMS emotions over there. Zayden stares into the camera like “The Office”. In the other house Bones is informing Team Warm that he is NOT the leader of this team. They all did their own thing. Aaron asks to stop with the negativity, which is weird because this isn't that negative? Well Bones goes on to say that if Team Warm tells the judges he's the leader he'll “let it rip” which I assume means he'll throw them all under the bus. Shantall tries to tell him that they won't eliminate him because the whole team sucks, except that if they think he was supposed to be the leader then maybe they would. Aaron gets real irritated and says they get it and we don't need to go on about this for half an hour. Has Bones just been saying “I'm not the leader” over and over again for that long? Of course he is not happy Aaron said anything and he responds that he's expressing himself and he'd never tell Aaron to stop bitching if Aaron was in this position. Uh huh.

So the teams finally show up at the same time and they have 4 hours. FOUR hours. Is this because we can't do 16 models' hair and makeup in a reasonable amount of time? Christian calls everyone over so he can describe the prize, and give them the models. OK the models are showing up with 3 hours left. I still miss Scott. Christian oh-so-casually strolls by Bones's station to see how he's doing. Aaron looks terrified. Bones wants to talk about yesterday. He was just sticking up for his team, he wasn't coming for Christian and he'll always take his critiques. Christian is here for them. I think Caycee is not lining her coat. Very concerning. Darren is concerned he won't finish his dress. There are 30 minutes left and he's gone outside to smoke. It looks like he took part of his garment with him, which is a dick move. No one wants their clothes to smell like your cigarettes. Bones goes outside, takes the cigarette out of his mouth and puts it out, then orders Darren inside to cut a circle skirt out of some fabric he's shoved at him. Then Bones is wrapping fabric around the model, sending her to hair and makeup, and whipping up some kind of dress. Meanwhile Darren is still smoking outside. Sabrina's bow is not what she wanted. It's not as puffy as she wanted. Somehow, in under 30 minutes, Bones has whipped up a sequined gown. It's nothing fancy but it's something and Christian says it's stunning. It's really impressive.

Karlie is not here but guest judge Jason Wu is here. Team Warm is up first, and we start with Darren. Or Bones's second dress. Darren: long slim strapless gown in gold sequins. It's very simple but it doesn't look like it took under an hour to make. There's a big vertical ruffle down one side, as if they wrapped the fabric around her and didn't sew the end and trim the extra to make the dress, but left the extra to hang down. It fits so well. Prajje: knee length pencil skirt in a dark pink, almost red fabric. The top is a lighter pink sleeveless crop top with a hood/draped cowl in the back, and one long strip of fabric down one side. The top looks like he made a crew-neck top but left long pieces on the sides, then loosely tied them so the panels would hang down past her hip. The pieces fold into the back also. Coral: long flowy dress in orange. The skirt I think has a handkerchief hem and moves really well. The bodice is either strapless or has spaghetti straps, and there are two bands of I think leather crossed over her chest and around her waist. Well, not really over her chest, they run from her shoulders across to the opposite armpit, so they sit on top of her boobs instead of crossing in between them, if you know what I mean. I have no idea who Coral is so I'm going to assume she's safe. And there are pockets. Kenneth: knee-length red dress with a pencil skirt and big puffy sleeves. They're very structural, they're not droopy or anything. Across her midriff there is a cutout with a grid of lighter orange pieces, like a latticework.

Aaron: pants and a top in a dark red. The top has an inverted V, so the neckline is kind of high but her stomach is exposed. There are layers of fabric making up the V, and it looks like he wrapped panels of fabric around her back, then attached the ends to rings at her chest. Three rings, three pieces of fabric, then all the rings are attached and there's a loop of fabric around her neck holding the rings up. Over this is a bolero jacket with long narrow sleeves, that looks like leather. The pants are wide palazzo pants. This outfit is really cool. Octavio: dropped crotch harem pants, a bandeau top, and a ruffled jacket, all in a dark orange color. The top is a little shiny, maybe sparkly? The pants are terrible but I hate dropped crotch pants so that might be it. The jacket has a wide ruffled lapel down each side, but it also stops at her waist so it's not very long. The sleeves are very wide but gathered at the wrist and she's either got several sashes or he just put straps at her waist because there are a lot of things dangling off here. Shantall: pink jacket and pants. It's supposed to be a suit, but the pants are cut pretty loosely so it doesn't really read suit to me. But sure. The jacket is a jacket, but the sleeves have a weird treatment. They look almost woven? When the model gets closer, you can see they ARE woven, and one of the lapels is woven also. I'm impressed that the whole thing seems to be finished and hemmed pretty well, and she also had time to weave two sleeves and a lapel panel. Bones: asymmetrical one-shoulder top, with a strap n the other shoulder, in yellow. There is a tiny sliver of skin at her waist, and then huge pants that look like a gown. There's also a sheer wrap over all of this. The pants are very nice and move well but he's got weird folds of fabric over her hips. Just like the dress he made for Darren, where you would normally cut off the extra fabric but he hasn't. Also her boobs don't look right but that might be that she isn't wearing a bra, not that the top is cut wrong. The back of the bodice is strappy but I can't see it well.

Team Cool. Zayden: tight knee-length dress and coat in a lime green. The coat is boxy but cropped, and is long sleeved with a very tall collar and a big brooch under her chin. Or maybe that's one of the bows. At the ends of the sleeves it looks like the fabric has been tied into bows. The dress seems fine, if kind of short in the back, but the model never takes off the jacket so who knows. It also looks wrinkled? Wrinkled or rouched, who knows. Katie: a loose-fitting teal dress. She's taken a sheer turquoise fabric and painted rectangles on it, so it looks like a print. This dress has a drop hem and a ruffle, with a smaller ruffle down the front like a placket you put buttons on. The sleeves are sheer and very loose, but somehow puffy at the shoulder. The skirt is a darker green, and very full. The whole thing looks like a bad 80s prom dress, but much like Coral I don't remember really talking to Katie today so even though I think this is ugly I don't think she's going home probably. Sabrina: long strapless evening gown in a light blue. She intended to tie a bow over the model's boobs, but it's kind of limp and it just looks like she wrapped some fabric across her chest . Then there's an empire waist? It's not fitted through her torso. And it looks wrinkly too. Kristina: a long gown that's basically a sack, just wide and loose, but in a shiny dark blue fabric that has some structure to it. I mean, when I say she sewed a neckline and then there are no other seams, you imagine just a draped sheet or something, but somehow this dress keeps a shape? The sleeves are wide and arc away from her arm and back to her wrist, and they stand out and are not floppy. There's a ruffle at the neck and at each wrist, where she's tied bows or at least strings so there are straps hanging off.

Chasity: long dark blue gown, or possibly wide pants, I can't tell. The top has that inverted V exposed stomach, and when the model turns around there's a flat bow diagonally across her back over a round cutout. Meg: a knee-length dress in a navy blue, with a slit in the front. It looks like a pencil skirt. The top is very blousy with elbow-length dolman sleeves and a V-neck. It looks like the skirt fabric comes up to a point at the tip of the V and runs down diagonally to match the angle, if that makes sense. In the back the seam is straight across. I did notice in the front the place where the fabrics meet doesn't look 100% finished. Caycee: a big lavender trench coat with a belt. That's it. It looks huge and like it's not tailored at all but just belted. The top is a wrap top somehow and the sleeves are too long. The lapels of the coat stick up? Caycee thinks this fits well. I mean I guess? Technically? Anna: long gown in a dark purple. The skirt comes up to just under her boobs and is fitted from the top down to the waist, where it's a slight A-line skirt. Over each boob is a wide strip of sequined material, also in the dark purple, that goes over the shoulder and attaches in the back. Lovely and this is another person we haven't heard from.

OK thank God that was everyone. Brandon and Elaine gush about how they loved seeing models on the runway again. Nina gets to boss everyone around since Karlie isn't here, and it's about time. The winning team is Team Warm. Huh. Not what I thought would happen. Once Team Cool leaves, the first thing Brandon asks is if they had a leader. I watched it more than once, and I can't tell if people point at Bones before he raises his hand, or if he raised his hand and then people pointed and agreed. But after all that shit and a half hour fight, he doesn't care because they won? Not cool. Bones explains about their theme. Now they are doing this dramatic thing where Brandon says there were three looks they really loved, and then they signal someone and the model walks out, so they all have to stand there wondering if they are one of the top three. Octavio's model comes out first. It really works, even with tricky fabric. He didn't overdesign, and he wanted them to focus on the pants so he left the other parts alone. It is very high fashion. Bones also had a high score. He has a clear point of view, and he says he wanted to celebrate “a Black body and a curvy woman”. He has also made his own garment out of the same yellow fabric, although his is basically a pillowcase rectangle. The drape is elegant, and Elaine raves about the dignity and elegance of Bones and his model standing next to each other. The last look is Darren's, which made me yell “OF COURSE”. Shenanigans. Darren immediately looks at Bones, who is making faces. The judges love it a lot, it's red carpet, blah blah. Darren tells them he's thrilled and “this was made in the last thirty minutes”. Bones is now saying “wow” under his breath over and over again, which is 100% justified. Darren says his team helped him, especially Bones, who saved his ass. To his credit Darren does admit that Bones basically made the whole thing. Elaine knows Bones is probably responsible for them winning.

So we're doing the same dramatic reveal for the bottom three. Sabrina is up first. She says that she's wearing her own design, so this is her style. Of course this is a situation where they love what she has one but hate the thing she made. They do this all the time. She's made gowns before though, but her structured bow didn't work. Now she's crying because she's better than this and she's begging to stay. Caycee is also in the bottom, not surprising. She starts babbling about how this has gone through “evolutions”, so it's not finished? Not where she wants it to be? Something. At least the color is lovely, but her model is covered up. Caycee immediately says she wanted to work with her model's curves because they're gorgeous and it was a very fast protest, you know? I think she struggled but knows she can't say so or everyone will get mad that she's sizist. It needed editing. The last model to walk out is Chasity's, which is sad because I don't think it's that bad. Nina hates the top half of the dress, and thinks it doesn't fit. Chasity wouldn't have put a bow, but she thought everyone else was putting bows and that there would be more bows. Jason says she should have scrapped the bow and trusted her gut. I was going to say that's garbage because they'd just pick on her for not being cohesive, but then again, the two looks with no bows were safe. She was trying to be a team player, and it's stupid because somehow you're supposed to know when you'll be in the bottom for not being cohesive and when you'll be in the bottom for not saying “fuck it” and making something good and screwing your team.

It's pretty clear they're going to let Bones win. I mean Darren isn't going to win. Bones saved the team by making a dress for Darren. Octavio did make something monochromatic, and he has a strong point of view. But you know Bones made two of the top three garments.

Sabrina made a bad prom dress, but Jason thinks it wasn't the worst. Caycee's look had some potential and a pretty color, but it's so ill-fitting. Nina prefers Chasity's look, because at least the skirt was fine. Elaine doesn't think she's creative. Brandon argues that Caycee doesn't have point of view or construction.

Bones wins, to no ones surprise. He wins immunity, which is great. Those looks were great AND he's drama. He does mention he's glad Darren got a second chance. Sabrina is in. Pff, fine. Chasity's look was poorly made and boring. Caycee made poor choices and also send something poorly made down the runway. Caycee is out. Phew! Chasity is in. The right choice. She's crying, but everyone is supportive. They all leap up to give her one last hug. She understands why she was eliminated, but she can still do better. She didn't get to show who she is.

Nest week: streetwear, some painting? People fighting.
