Welcome to Leg 9! Last time, on We Only U-Turn Liars, teams raced about the UAE.  Nicole and Travis use their Express Pass, and then U-Turn the Afghanimals for lying to them.  (Toyouke: “Sigh. Less moralizing, more racing. I like them, but all is fair in reality television.”)  Leo and Jamal survive the U-Turn, but the Baseball Wives do not, after a vindictive Marie U-Turned them for their airport behavior.  Who will be eliminated. . . next? Project Runway All Stars 11/21/13--"Partners in Crime" summary

Previously on Project Runway: the unconventional material challenge caused everyone to make clothes out of school supplies. Chris won, with his “school sucks because bullying” black plastic dress. Whatever. Elena became Helen 2.0 and had a meltdown while everyone rolled their eyes. Mychael and Korto couldn’t execute their designs, while Jeffrey made some weird dress that flashed everyone. Top Chef 11/20/13--"Piggin' Out" summary

Previously on “Top Chef”: musical chairs Quickfire. Brian won immunity with that. Then was a weird challenge to make a “cohesive” potluck, which is A MEAL. It was a meal served family-style. Come on, show. Anyway, even though Nick was ill for the Quickfire he got better. Stephanie won with fried artichokes. Patty made a lame salad and was sent home. It wasn’t the most exciting episode, apparently, because that’s about all I can come up with. (click for more)

Project Runway All Stars 11/14/13--"Keepin' It Classy" summary

Previously on Project Runway: there are random drinks to inspire everyone. Woo. Everyone makes cocktail dresses and this challenge would be so much better if they cared about the theme. Or the “inspiration”. But whatever, the dresses aren’t that offensive. Except Chris made a skin-colored slip dress and everyone said it was the greatest thing ever. I think they’re trying to build him up so when the judges turn on him he’ll fall apart and they’ll get ratings because of the drama. Anyway, he didn’t win, Viktor won for using his print brilliantly. Melissa had a dress that kind of looked lopsided and wasn’t so great, I guess, so she was eliminated. (click for more)

Top Chef 11/13/13--"Jazz Hands" summary

Previously on “Top Chef”: the chefs went out to the farm to make tomato dishes, which Nina won. Then the Elimination challenge was to make “farm to table” dishes with cream cheese. Why everyone had to talk about locally sourced produce and proteins and then slap some nationally available cream cheese in everything, I don’t know. The stupid gimmicks and product placement work much better in Quickfires. OR, don’t do them at all. For the record one of the top finishers made a dish where you couldn’t taste the cream cheese. Nina won this one also, because fried things stuffed with cream cheese will work much of the time. Bene made boring steamed food that was gross, apparently, so he was sent home. (click for more)

Welcome to Leg 7! Project Runway All Stars 11/7/13--"Sip Into Something Sexier" summary

Previously on Project Runway: avant garde clothing inspired by bugs. Elena freaks out while working, much like Helen from last season. A lot of people went literal with this one, which was not surprising. Mychael won, with a cool-looking gray cocoon with bright green highlights. Daniel had ugly fabrics and was sent home. Top Chef 11/6/13--"Campfires, Cream Cheese, and Countryside" summary

Previously on “Top Chef”: The Quickfire was the “let’s make the interns wrap everything in foil and have some product placement” Quickfire. But we got to meet Gail’s and Padma’s moms, so there’s that. The team paired with Padma’s mom won $10000 but no immunity. The Elimination challenge paired up the chefs for no reason to cook for Lea Michele’s Halloween party. She is vegan but eats cheese (seriously she would not shut up about the cheese) so three people made arancini. Carlos made fondue, and Travis made ceviche, and those dishes were deemed the best. Michael was his usual jerky self, and even though everyone decided to yell at his teammate Nina for letting him fail, he was sent home for making the worst of the three arancini. (click for more)

Welcome to Leg 6! Last time, on I’d Wear a Seashell on my Crotch, teams raced from Norway to Poland.  Marie hands off the extra Express Pass to Nicole and Travis, and then use their own to skip the Detour task.  In the end, two teams got U-Turned, and Brandon and Adam got burned by a Bald Snark and were eliminated.  Who will be eliminated. . . next?
