Welcome to Leg 7! Last time, on Ziplining the Casbah, teams
continued racing through Morocco. The
Scientists and the Flight Attendants fell behind early, due to poor navigation
and clue reading. But everyone else
tended to do a decent job, leading the Dentists to another first place finish,
and eliminating Shelley and Nici, who drove three hours out of their way. Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Kym/Alli
3- Amy/Maya
4- Adam/Bethany
5- Tim/Te
Jay
6- Brooke/Robbie (Toyouke: "You know, maybe you could follow that sign that says HOTEL to find some taxis.")
And teams get the fifth
roadblock clue.
ROADBLOCK:
Who wants to put their foot to
the Florio?
In this roadblock, roadblockers
must complete the old Targa Florio race around Mount Pellegrino. Roadblockers suit up and drive a go kart up
the mountain to cross a finish line in less than 4:07. If they do, Nico Vaccarella will give them
their next clue. If not, they must wait
for the pace car to go back to the start line to try again.
The following teammates take
the Roadblock:
1- Jim
2- Kym
3- Maya – who is the only person to fail and have to try
again.
4- Adam
5- Te Jay
6- Brooke
After much go karting, teams
complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Kym/Alli
3- Amy/Maya
4- Brooke/Robbie
5- Adam/Bethany
6- Tim/Te
Jay
Roadblockers are then driven back down the mountain in a classic
car to the Antico Stabilimento
Balneare where their partners are waiting for them. Teams reunite in the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Kym/Alli
3- Adam/Bethany
4- Amy/Maya
5- Tim/Te
Jay
6- Brooke/Robbie
And we get the Detour Clue.
DETOUR:
Painters
OR Posers
*Painters:
Teams make their way to Tonnara Florio where teams must restore a fresco on the
ceiling while lying on their backs. Once
the artist approves the work, teams get their next clue from the priest. Only four teams may take this Detour.
*Posers:
Teams make their way to Teatro Politeama Garibaldi and watch 10 opera singers
perform snippets of famous operas in costume.
Once watched, teams must go to the costume room and place the costumes
in the order in which they appeared on stage.
Once completed correctly, teams receive their next clue from the
costumista.
1- Kym/Alli
choose Painters
2- Misti/Jim
choose Painters
3- Adam/Bethany
choose Painters
4- Tim/Te
Jay choose Painters
5- Brooke/Robbie
choose Posers
6- Amy/Maya
choose Posers – only after they lost a footrace to the frescos in Painters and
were forced to switch options.
(Toyouke: "Did they mislead teams on how easy Posers would be? I mean, Robbie and Brooke aren't the smartest, so I could see them misunderstanding and thinking they would have to understand the singing. But no one else took that Detour?")
After much fresco restoring and opera costume identifying, teams
complete the detour in the following order:
1- Misti/Jim
2- Kym/Alli
3- Amy/Maya
4- Brooke/Robbie
5- Adam/Bethany
6- Tim/Te
Jay
Teams are now instructed to travel to the Villa Niscemi, the PIT
STOP of the seventh leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive MAY be eliminated!
1- Misti/Jim
– who win a trip for 2 to Ocho Rios Jamaica.
2- Kym/Alli
3- Amy/Maya
4- Brooke/Robbie
– who lament letting the girls in front of them.
5- Adam/Bethany
6- Tim/Te
Jay
And Tim and Te Jay are. . . not eliminated! This the second of three predetermined
elimination legs, and they are still in the race. But, they will have to complete a Speed Bump
in the next leg. (Tim: “TNT is ready to
explode!”) (Toyouke: "SIGH")
ORDER
NOW:

2nd – Kym/Alli
3rd – Amy/Maya
