Welcome to Leg 12! Last time,
on Throwing the Wrong Type of
Boot Is Really Problematic, teams
raced from Spain to England and Wales.
Leo and Jamal had directional issues and ended up in last place, causing
them to finish fourth for the second race in a row. This season, we’ve had a Frankenteam. Tension!
Frustration! Competition! And Challenge! In the end we have three teams: Brendon and
Rachel, who promised less crying and more baby making (Toyouke: “Rachel's popularity was gone before
that U-Turn.”); Caroline and Jennifer, who managed to flirt their way through
the race again while surviving two NELs and never winning a leg; and Dave and
Connor, who self eliminated the first time they raced due to injury, but
probably could have won anyway. Who will
win The Amazing Race 24? (click for more)

Once there, teams are told to

3- Brendon/Rachel
When teams arrive, they get the
twelfth roadblock clue.
ROADBLOCK:
Do you believe in magic?
In this roadblock, teams are
met by David Copperfield. One member is
locked in a crate. They must open their
shackles with the keys from the crate, and then look for lockpicks to release
the chains in order to reunite with their partners.
The following teammates take
the Roadblock:
1- Connor
2- Jennifer
3- Rachel
In order to perform the
roadblock, teams had to get the keys out of the crate and hand them to their
partners. This occurred in the following
order:
1- Brendon/Rachel – who opened the box in the Explorer en route to
the task.
2- Dave/Connor – who opened the box at the task.

After much escaping and magic
trickery, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

1- Dave/Connor
2- Brendon/Rachel
3- Caroline/Jennifer
Teams
are now instructed to find the silver and red question mark sign and take a
light bulb from it before traveling to the employee entrance of the Mirage
Hotel. Once all the light bulbs have
been taken, teams make their way to The Mirage and arrive in the following
order:
1- Caroline/Jennifer
2- Dave/Connor
3- Brendon/Rachel – who tried to steal Caroline and Jennifer’s cab in
order to prevent having the most law abiding taxi in Las Vegas.
When teams arrive, they are
instructed to use a window washing basket to travel to the top of the hotel and
replace the bulbs in the “I” in the word Mirage. Teams also have to count the number of bulbs
they use (241) and relay it to the ground crew before they can go down and get
their next clue.
Teams finish the task and get
their clue in the following order:
1- Dave/Connor
2- Caroline/Jennifer
3- Brendon/Rachel
Teams
are now instructed to take a cab to Henderson Nevada and find Maverick
Helicopters to get their next clue. (Toyouke:
“This is a much
closer final leg than...it's been so long I don't even remember when it was
this close.”) Teams arrive in the following order:
1- Dave/Connor – after a wrong turn.
2- Caroline/Jennifer
3- Brendon/Rachel
And teams get the thirteenth
and final roadblock clue.
ROADBLOCK:
Who wants to be a UFO?
In this roadblock, roadblockers
must don a special suit and fly in a helicopter across the strip to find a sign
announcing the landing zone: Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Once the roadblocker relays the correct
information to the pilot, they fly to the location and skydive to meet their
partner.
The following teammates take
the Roadblock:
1- Dave
2- Caroline
3- Brendon
After much sign searching and
sky diving, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:
1- Dave/Connor
2- Caroline/Jennifer
3- Brendon/Rachel

race to the mat at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to find the FINISH LINE of this racearoundtheworld. The first team to arrive WILL win the Amazing
Race!

(Toyouke:
“Reasons you need a memory task: the girls blew their lead because they
CAN'T SCREW IN LIGHT BULBS FAST ENOUGH. And that's idiotic.”)
