Welcome to Leg 5! Last time, on We’re Gonna Marra-Catch Up, 10 teams continued racing through Marrakech, Morocco in a Scramble. The Best-ters played their Roadside Assistance on a Roadblock which other teams managed to help or hinder teams. Michelle and Matt pulled ahead to first place by playing their own game, and it was the siblings who were navigationally challenged, so Cody and Jaime were eliminated from the race. Teams make their way by taxi to Marrakesh Menara airport and arrive in the following order:
1- Michelle/Matt [EP] – who tell Anuar and Andrea that they used their Express Pass on Rug Run on the last leg.

Teams all get on the same flight to Tirana, so the Amazing Yellow Line takes us across Europe and teams race out of Tirana International Airport Nene Tareza and find their clues on the cars in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to drive themselves in their marked cars to the town of Mullet, Albania, and ask for directions to Turtle Farm to find their next clue. Caution: Driver’s Seat Ahead!
Teams arrive at Turtle Farm and find their clue in the following order:

And teams come to the fifth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who’s
ready to crush this roadblock?
In
this roadblock, one team member must harvest grapes and use a hand
grinder to produce a certain number of pounds of must in order to
make raki. Once teams take the barrel to get weighed and it has
enough must, teams will get their next clue from the scale
attendants.
(Toyouke: “Is that the first time Phil has drunk on camera? Oh they are SO lucky this has a machine and you're not stomping with your feet.”) Teams race farther into Turtle Farm and run into the Driver’s Seat.
DRIVER’S SEAT:
The Driver’s Seat allows the first team to arrive to assign certain tasks to certain teams. In this Driver’s Seat, the lead team can assign 50 pounds, 75 pounds or 100 pounds of must to each team.
Since Michelle and Matt were the first team, they make the decisions. Their goal was to try and make it hard for the Celesbians and Boone-Paul so that it forces them to use their Express Pass. (Toyouke: “I don't know why you wouldn't just give them both 100 lbs and know one of them probably will cave. You're just creating enemies.”) Also, Anuar and Andrea are a threat, so they get 100 pounds.

Once teams discover the number of pounds they are responsible for, the following team members complete the Roadblock.

who, at one point, accidentally grinds his must into Anuar’s
barrel. (Toyouke: “Why
is everyone suddenly dumb about this Roadblock?”)

4- Anuar – who forgot to take the board off the top of the barrel, and starts grinding the must and throwing it on the ground because he thinks he just needs juice. (Toyouke: “Honestly even if Anuar was a threat I might still help him after I got ahead. That is hard to watch.”) Riley eventually corrects him.

9- Joanna [EP] – who use their Express Pass due to their poor navigation earlier.
After much must grinding, teams complete the Roadblock in the following order:

Teams are now instructed to drive themselves to Kashar and find Instituti i Artit Kulinar Royal in order to get their next clue. Teams drive and get their clues in the following order:

4- Anuar/Andrea
5- Conner/Garrett [EP]
6- Erin/Javi

9- Ali/Joanna – (Toyouke: “I knew people would fuck up self driving, but I wish it was other people.”)
And teams come to the sixth roadblock.
ROADBLOCK:
Who
wants to roll it out?
In
this roadblock, one team member must roll out dough and prepare a
certain number of burek breakfast pastries. Once teams have properly
made their number of burek and had them approved, teams will get
their next clue from the chef.
Teams race farther into the culinary institute and run into the Driver’s Seat.
DRIVER’S SEAT:
The Driver’s Seat allows the first team to arrive to assign certain tasks to certain teams. In this Driver’s Seat, the lead team can assign 8 burek, 12 burek or 16 burek to each team.
(Toyouke: “Why though. We do not need two Driver's Seats and it's the same people.”) Since Michelle and Matt were the first team again, they continue to make the decisions. Their goal was once again to try and make it hard for the Celesbians and Boone-Paul so that it forces them to use their Express Pass. Also, Anuar and Andrea made comments about how they shouldn’t have had 100 pounds last time, so they get 16 burek.

Teams are now instructed to drive themselves into Tirana and find Bunk’Art 1in order to find their next clue. Teams arrive and get their clues in the following order:

Teams are instructed to enter the bunker and find a room marked with an Amazing Race flag. Once their, teams must listen to a message on a tape recorder (Toyouke: “"old school" excuse me while I wither and die”), find every seventh word, and then decode a message. The words are Dear Overlooking Weather Nearby The One Why Need Overlooking No Easy, which, if you take the first letters of each word spells DOWNTOWN ONE, the password that teams need to give to the spy outside the bunker to get their next clue. Teams complete the task in the following order:
1- Michelle/Matt [EP] – and they take a moment, because they think “no one” is one word. (Toyouke: “So they got the seven words and thought this gibberish would be the answer? I like to think we would have looked at first letters, last letters, something.”)
2- Daisha/Dalton – who also think “no one” is one word, and are helped by Ann-Marie and Riley, but promptly leave when they get the correct answer.
3- Ann-Marie/Riley – who do escape rooms, and try to use the room to solve the clue. (Toyouke: “Oh my God, Riley, I feel like I might do that. Although I'm not sure how they missed the instruction of every seventh word.”)
4- Ali/Joanna

8- Anuar/Andrea – Anuar: "Andrea had never seen a cassette player before." (Toyouke: “KILL ME NOW.”)

Teams are now instructed to make their way on foot to Skanderbeg Square, the PIT STOP of the fifth leg of this racearoundtheworld. The last team to arrive MAY be eliminated!
