Welcome to Leg 3! Last time, on Don’t Gert Excited, But There Are Camels In Morocco, 11 teams raced from Madrid to Marrakech, Morocco. The Boss Lady Alliance was formed, but probably isn’t very strong at the moment. Dafina struggled with her ankle, which slowed the best-ters down, but they won the Roadside Assistance token at the Roadblock. Daisha and Dalton helped Cody and Jaime, which annoyed Erin and Javi. Ann-Marie and Riley use their Express Pass to win the leg, and we have the first ever mother-daughter team win a leg of TAR. Jody and Jenn fell two hours behind at the Roadblock, only to discover Doug and Dylan at the fruit stacking task. In a footrace to the finish, which we only just found out at the beginning of this episode, it was Doug and Dylan who arrived first, and Jody and Jenn are eliminated. (Toyouke: “OMG. I would love for a team not to fall to Swedish Roulette because it's annoying, but also, Swedish Roulette.”) Who will be eliminated. . . next? (click for more)

Clue: Take a taxi to Bab Debbagh gate outside of the Old City, and enter the gate to find Association Sidi Yacoub Tannerie to get your next clue.

2:16 PM Daisha/Dalton (9th) – who are celebrating their two year anniversary. Dalton sent Daisha a video of him sliding to her DMs, so he was literally sliding into her DMs. (Toyouke: “Listen, these two seem like they're about to implode, but if a guy sent me a video of him sliding and captioned it "sliding into your DMs" I would at least go out once so I have to give him credit for that.”)
2:18 PM Doug/Dylan (10th) – Dylan thinks that part of their downfall is that they don’t navigate well.
Teams make their way by taxi to Bab Debbagh Gate and make their way to Association Sidi Yacoub Tannerie, where they arrive at the clue box in the following order:

Teams rip open their clue and find their next task, the Scramble, in the middle of this vibrant hub of Marrakesh, with its dense maze of crowded streets in a chaotic marketplace. (Toyouke: “"vibrant hub"!?! "dense maze"!?!? "crowded streets of this chaotic marketplace"!! However, love the map of not only spots but the drop off for the one task.”)
SCRAMBLE:
RUG RUN / SLIPPER SEARCH / DYE & DRY
*Rug Run: Teams make their way on foot to Rahba Kadima Square and find the marked rug vendor. Teams then must carry a nine foot Moroccan Rug to the Palais Dar Si Aissa and carry it up to the rooftop of Zine Zen Gastronomie. Once the rug has been laid out on the patio, the proctor will give them a third of their next clue.
*Slipper Search: Teams make their way on foot to Souk Smata, which is both the closest task to the Tannerie and the Pit Stop. Once there, teams find the fourth roadblock, where one team member must memorize a pair of slippers and search the market for an identical pair and bring them back to the shop keeper. Once approved by the shop keeper, teams receive a third of their next clue.
*Dye & Dry: Teams make their way on foot to Souk des Teinturiers. In this Expedia Experience. teams must dye one bundle of yarn blue and two bundles of yarn yellow using traditional techniques. Once approved by the master dyer, teams receive a third of their next clue.
Once teams have all three parts to the clue, they may travel to their next task, as presented on the clue.
Because it is hard to keep track of who goes where in what order, I’m going to tackle the Scramble task by task. I’ll also list which task this is for each team in parentheses when they arrive. (Toyouke: “I like the idea of a scramble but it ends up being weird to watch because you don't know where anyone is. So unless someone fails at the tasks it's weird.”)
RUG RUN
Teams travel to the Rahba Kadima Square and arrive in the following order:

Teams open their clues and come to the fourth roadblock.

(Toyouke: “Oh you can't take the slipper with you. That's tricky.”) The following team members complete the Roadblock.

After much slipper searching, teams complete the Roadblock and get their third of the clue in the following order:
1- Anuar/Andrea – who take off once they complete the task, even thought they were working with the Boss Ladies. (Toyouke: “She's right, you can't wait at this point. It's not like she helped you find your slipper and you used her or something.”)
