Welcome to Leg 12! Last time, on The Amazing Race Penultimate Paris Adventure, 4 teams raced from Italy to Paris, France. Joseph and Adam struggled to dance, while Izzy struggled on typing Braille correctly. Jas and Jag finished first for the fourth leg in a row, and Izzy and Paige were eliminated. And then there were three: Jas and Jag, the brothers and entrepreneurs who have finished first on six of the eleven legs and managed to be the first team in history to finish a leg in first place after being U-Turned; Kyland and Taylor, the dating couple that has never won a leg, but their continued support of each other keeps them from falling too far behind; and Joseph and Adam, the brothers who finished last on a non-elimination leg, and have continued to struggle with Adam’s diabetes issues. (Toyouke: “I have to say, this season has been surprisingly good. Much better than I thought it would be when it was announced.”) Who will win The Amazing Race 38? (click for more)

TAR 38, Recap Leg 1, 9/25/25

Welcome to Leg 1 of The Amazing Race 38! We are informed by Phil himself while hanging out in various European cities that the concept for The Amazing Race came from travelers backpacking across Europe, so that’s the inspiration for the season, while visiting some iconic European destinations. (Toyouke: “Only Europe? Weak.”) Phil promises more trains, more self driving (Toyouke: “Well at least more self driving.”), and more racing on foot. Phil promises some classic Amazing Race events. (Toyouke: “"Two Express Passes" is not a "classic". Falling in manure is a "classic".”) Rather than settle for the classic starting line (Toyouke: “I don't like that we didn't get Phil at the starting line.”), teams exit a train station in Hoorn, Netherlands with their first clue in hand. TAR 38, Recap Leg 0, 9/18/25

Welcome back to the Amazing Race! It’s season number thirty-eight. We’ve only had to wait about six months for this one! Apparently, it is filled with teams where one-half of the team has already been a contestant on Big Brother and the other half missed them so much that they had to go on another reality show together to catch up. Also, this is apparently The Amazing Race: European Adventure, because one gimmick wasn’t enough. Oh, and I brought Toyouke along for the snark. Aren’t you lucky? Except since there weren’t great bios or videos this year, we’ll have to fly a little by the seat of our pants, so let’s get to this shall we? The thirteen teams for TAR38 are (click for more):

Carson and Jack, who got to be knights for a day, finished first, and Han and Holden kept their relationship strong and finished second. A misstep by Alyssa and Josiah at the train station put them on the same train as Jonathan and Ana, who passed them to finish third, and Alyssa and Josiah were eliminated. And then there were three: Carson and Jack, the gay Dungeons and Dragon streamers and best friends who have come back from being over an hour behind all the other teams and have four first place legs under their belts; Han and Holden, the siblings that have never won a leg, but their good natured sibling relationship always keeps them in the game; and Jonathan and Ana, the married couple who always seem to be in an argument, but have finished first on three legs and are generally strong at finishing tasks.
